This issue regarding multinationals is largely overplayed, although agree they should pay tax on trade in country of sale. The choice of UK government is hugely important as its policies have huge implications on its citizens. It would be nice to retrieve some decision making from the unelected bureaucrats in Brussels.

Although Corbyn's policies are absurd they would be frightening if taken seriously and actually implemented.

Is this a nightmare I'm about to wake up from?

Can I ask you a serious question superhorns?

Do you believe everything you post or are you just adding your weight to the Tory scaremongering?

Why do the Tories need to do any scaremongering? JC and New New Labour will be scary enough when their 20th Century policies are revealed and become open to scrutiny. But then no doubt that will be the fault of the Tory press..

I tend to vote for parties on the left but, in my opinion, there's no doubt that the press on that side can scare monger every bit as well. The Daily Mirror is every bit as bad as the Sun for me.

It seems to me that the Union leaders are rubbing their hands in glee. Someone at the helm that will implement what they wish for. How far they will be able to influence him remains to be seen, but the left wingers among them certainly wanted him to win. The Labour party has seen that they had too much power in the past and marginalized them, but now they have the chance to try and regain the position they had which was close to running the country. Remember when Callaghan tried to stand up to them and the winter of discontent?

The UK now has a shadow chancellor who admitted he would 'assassinate' Margaret Thatcher if he could go back to the 1980's during a speech. He also called for the 'overthrow of capitalism'.

Surely you cannot take these clowns seriously?

What I can't take seriously is you cherry-picking out of context sound bites to fit your agenda!

Its seems to be Tories/UKIP winding up the rest on here at the mo......

    Emoticon for: yawn

Impossible to have a decent conversation..... or discuss issues without one upmanship

A clear example of the divisive nature of politics....

I for one am often deeply ashamed of the way our politicians behave in our Parliament... PMQ being the nadir at times.

Can anyone tell me if It is possible to 'ignore' a thread? <ok>

Changing tack slightly, what the hell is going on in Austalia? Five PMs in five years - who'd be a boss?

In Australia, no matter which party you are in, your biggest enemy is your fellow party member.

This is a political forum where posters sometimes disagree about policies. If you don't like it stick to something more trivial.

Sometimes. Have worked with some really nice Tories and some very pompous unpleasant ones. The same is true of the Labour Ministers I have worked to. Had to attend a meeting with JC and the one thing I won't forget is he was the only MP that thanked the then Tory Minister (a very aristocratic man) for agreeing to it.

Funny, we are asked to take New New Labour seriously yet when you challenge their own views, words and stated policies, it is taking it out of context.
As I have mentioned, let's have their policies documented and published and we can then debate these instead. Would be nice if they published a manifesto of what policies they will put forward to the electorate over the next couple of years. If they do that then there is no blaming the Tory press or being taken out of context,

Yes we disagree but there really is not any need to be so rude.

Politics has been divisive for at least the last 50 years thaI have closely studied the subject, I expect it has always been the same.

If you do want debate between political parties you end up with a one party system.

changing the subject a bit, nice to see the ill thought out political EU's Schengen agreement bite the dust. Hopefully the reinstated border controls will be made permanent.
