    Joe Pesci's right hand man in Casino Frank Marino, played by Frank Vincent is based on the ex-gangster Frank Cullotta.

    Frank Cullotta was part of the production crew as an advisor to Scorcese as he knew the real story of how the mob ruled Vegas.

    He was cast as 1 of the 2 hitmen seen in the end of the movie taking out the main men.

    Nicholas Cage's real name is Nicholas Coppola, but he changed it to disassociate himself with his uncle Francis Ford.

    And the name "Cage" was chosen because he is a huge comic book fan. Luke Cage is actually the real name of "Power Man".

    The names of Maximus' horses in Gladiator are Scarto and Argento, translating as Trigger and Silver. In tribute to the horses of Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger.

    The scene in The Godfather where Luca Brazzi is trying to remember what to say to Brando ant the Wedding was genuine. The actor who played Brazzi was s real-life Mafia man who could not remember his lines so Coppola simply let the camera roll while he practised.
