Might give us something g else to talk about rather than hearing UIR arguining over something.

 

Its miles better. Its not even debatable. Ird natural to look back on things fondly and reminisce of course but the reality is, the games come a long way since the 80s.

The money is an issue but then, players in the 80s earned more Far more than those in the 50s and 60s. The money then was huge compared to before suspect older fans in that era complained about similar things to you, today.

 

I think UIR has had a few bottles of Bordeaux red wine for his breakfast, he's hyper.

 

What's not to praise exactly. Beat our biggest rivals with absolute ease. Control the game, score 3 goals, two of which were very good. De gea came back into the side, Martial scored on his debut, schweinsteiger looked sharp and like his match fitness is at the required level.

What exactly should I not be praising. A poor first half?

Has anyone told you LFC chaps that football is a game of two halves? Pretty important that bit. We wouldn't be the first side to have a poor first half and score 3 in the second. I'm sure you guys know all about that....

 

We were utter sh*te and deserved to lose.....we would have lost to feckin' Accrington Stanley FFS....but had several decent chances to score and weren't out of it (amazingly) until the third goal went in late on. Prior Utd sides would have put half a dozen past us and then breezed for 30 minutes to save themselves for the CL.

This Utd side huffed and puffed their way to a win that they would have won far more convincingly under fergie (without vast spending).

How often have we breezed past you and gone into relaxation mode with 30 minutes left? In your entire time supporting Liverpool, how often have you seen this?

It doesn't happen.

We battered you last season too, by almost the same score. In fact O seem to recall we had a similar level of deadly accuracy in front of goal. 3 shots in target and 3 goals.

 

I've said to him in at least two posts that the difference was Utd made more of their chances than us, they looked better in possession than us but as we've both pointed out we could have sneaked a draw up until the 86th minute.

I can remember the many times the refs **** their pants at OT and handed Utd the points due to very iffy decisions.

 

Could you. You were two down at the 83rd. You scored a great goal from nothing. At no point after that did you ever look like scoring again.

Where was this possibly draw coming from in those long 3 minutes of play?
