I guess people have concerns about the Shipman factor, which sounds like the worst gameshow ever. I'm struggling to see how letting someone die slowly and painfully is preferable to giving them the facilities to end things quickly and painlessly, though.
Having Jeremy Corbyn as Labour leader is the best thing that has happened to British politics in a very long time. We now have a viable opposition leader that will challenge the Conservatives and the establishment. Realistically big change cannot happen without a major revolution, and the chances of that is slim. At the moment the best thing we can hope for is Jeremy bringing the plight of the weak and vulnerable to the table and question and fight the Conservatives on any questionable policies they bring about.
Corbyn should of gone to lead the Green Party, at the helm of Labour he will ensure the Tories stay in power for another five years at least! It'll make things interesting for a while though
You need a man with strong convictions and sense of ideology. Milliband was another man like the rest, no personality, with no clearly defined ideology. Jeremy is seen as an honest, hard working man willing to fight for the common man. That's why he will make more of a dent to the Conservatives that any of the other non-descript, cloned politicians out there. He will also influence others to come into politics and hopefully follow a similar pattern of sincerity and honest leadership. Work for the people and not for the establishment.
Thank god labour dodged a bullet and didnt become unelectable by going for a 'tory-lite' blairite candidate. I mean if someone like liz kendall can only convince 19k out of 460k voters of her own party to vote for her then what hope would she have in a general election? Awesome that Jeremy has got in, a man of honesty, principle and decency who has electrified the party (and public) to such an extent that he got more votes than all the other candidates put together. He is already appealing to the millions of disenfranchised turned off by same old, same old politics, green party voters and the snp. A few polls have show he is the most likely candidate to win back ukip voters. And of course, his intelligent, consistent and plain speaking rhetoric will wipe the floor with cameron at pmq! Backed up by a sound economic plan and a huge grassroots movement - whats not to like? Glad we are not doing the same things to lose a third election...

I was being ironic-but then you knew that. I agree that Corbyn offers a different paradigm. The cynic in me wonders if the rest of the country will be sold on his approach-as I said earlier, politics is about to become much more interesting.

Finally ! Feels great that my vote actually helped the candidate I wanted to win for a change. Also, great the the Labour party have realigned with their true values. Instead of thinking they needed to shift further to the ****ing right ?!?! after the last election.
I love the way that the Tories paying their £3 to try and sabotage the Labour leadership election are now ****ting themselves that it might turn out to be a massive double bluff gone wrong.
The biggest irony is that you would be prosecuted for failing to treat an animal humanely i.e failing to have it put down if it was suffering in pain and had no quality of life, yet you'd be prosecuted if you assisted in ending the suffering of a human being in those circumstances. Crazy

Coincided with the thousands of people protesting across the country and the protest march to Downing Street to demand more action on refugees. It coincided with millions protesting across Europe and staggering image in Copenhagen of a huge crowd of people all coming together in empathy and support for desperate people fleeing death, torture and destruction. Nice to see everyone coming together and showing human kindness is strong and is winning over hate. Gruff Rhys and Charolette Church were at the Cardiff march along with a thousand people.
Great to hear about us showing our humanity. But contrast that to what's happening in some Eastern European countries like Poland. They were having mass ralleys saying no to refugees and coming out with Islamaphobic hate saying Muslims are not allowed in and if they did come they would behead them, carrying pigs heads on sticks. The overall message from these eastern European countries is the tainting of Christianity of Muslim settlers. Other reports saying they would only allow Syrian Christians.
I think Jeremy needs to attack the Government, particularly its stance over the EU. Why are Conservative MEPs not sitting alongside sensible centre-right parties in the EU Parliament for starters? He should be hammering that message home to expose the Tories as a more extreme party. He should also ask why the Conservatives put up candidates in the General Election in Northern Ireland, considering their close alliance with the Ulster Unionist Party in the past. That is extremely divisive as well. He should also challenge Dave and ask him why he is not at the peace table with regard to the entire Middle East conflict. And finally he should point out that money spent on Trident is better spent on educating and informing people to make better choices with regard to lifestyle and so on.
I have to say, I am very much looking forward to seeing the first PMQs, I expect Corbyn to ask some very intelligent and direct questions of Cameron - which he will typically squirm through, not giving a direct answer. Corbyn has asked all Labour members, affiliated members and the £3 members (like me) to suggest questions to ask Cameron. I believe there's even a hashtag about it as well.
