Strange though it may sound, we are probably playing a style of football better suited to CL than City are.

But....you ain't playing good enough to beat any of the CL's big boys, so utd's journey into Europe may well prove detrimental to their finishing position in the league, 4th was achieved last season due to utd being part timers.

 

I have never bought into this whole "part timers" thing, that only helps teams like Liverpool and Bournemouth

 

I think our record against the Premier Leagues top clubs suggests we might do OK in Europe. I don't expect a heroic run to the final or anything but I would expect us to reach the quarter finals.

Teams in the CL, especially the better ones, are less likely to sit back and pack the defence for one thing.

 

Hopefully he will put me on ignore and be done with it. Its all gone a bit too far really.

Which is why UIR wanting Moyes out was wrong, Moyes took Utd to the CL quarter finals and the League Cup semifinal as well as signing players Utd still rely on despite the money LvG has spent.

Moyes would have done a better job at LFC than Rodgers, I've got no problem saying that.

I said on our board when Moyes was in charge that i was actually enjoying the games more than I had for a while. Every game felt like a cup final and every win an achievement. I hadn't felt like that for a long time, it got to the point where if we won it was just expected and if we lost then It didn't really matter, there was always next week.

 

Ah, but your years supporting Utd pre-Fergie kicked in and you had been through that kind of thing under other managers at OT, the modern breed of Utd fan that only knows the club under Ferguson's reign will have found it excruciatingly painful.
