Will always have massive respect for Adkins. He has every right to feel harshly done for getting sacked after two straight promotions. He even seemed to have righted the ship that first season in the PL and I think we would have escaped relegation with him, which was no easy task and would have defied most of the pundits. But he'll still sit down and do a nice promo piece for the club that fired him, and has nothing but good things to say about everyone. Even Cortese. Class act.

Still remember when the wife told me about adkins being sacked.thought she was winding me up. Didint we just earn a point against chelsea before he was sacked? I think he would have kept us up comfortably
That draw at Chelsea was exciting and satisfying, but I think Nigel's goose was already cooked. Mauricio (the rat) was already monitoring our games prior to taking over. And Nigel hinted that he was on borrowed time on the day we got promoted to the PL. Poor Nige.
I have yet to meet anyone, a single person, who has a bad word to say about Nigel. That's quite a comment on the man. Vin
I know it's hard to believe, but behind the the whole horde of us who love Nigel to this day, there have been plenty of people who didn't like Nigel at all, and they were on here and at The Saints Web. Some people just can't deal with someone else being very positive and cheerful 90% of the time. And yet they never ever took the lesson from Nigel, even when he was sacked. He barely ever looks back, except to exploit the experience, and he extracts 5 positives and 1 negative [if you remember]. Sure, it was a technique, which also got up some people's noses, because they thought it was somehow false, but that was their problem. Nigel is a shining example of what seeing the positive side of life can do for anybody, and he does it in a very structured way to aid him in life.

One day people will realise his is what Ralph is like. More people don't like Ralph than don't like Nigel. Positivity scares the **** out of some people.
