I sincerely hope that we can contribute to the continuing meltdown of Maureen by beating the Chavs at the Bridge. The **** will implode if he loses this one.
I'd imagine Chelsea will sit back with little space between begovic and the back 4, which will be bad for Walcott. The question is whether the Chelsea defence will be as disorganised as it has been - allowing Theo to exploit it with his movement and runs around the box, or whether it's better to use Giroud and his ability to play in others, using their movement to spring the defence. I'd probably go for the later...
True! LOL. Though I think I'd prefer either Oxo or Ramsey on the right for more defensive stability (even though I dislike Ramsey on the right)
Sanchez vs. Ivanovic should be tasty. The latter has been in abysmal form this season and while the former isn't at his best yet, Sanchez should still cause the man plenty of agony (especially with Monreal overlapping and Pedro's tendency not to track back at times)
We should get Ozil to look to run into the channel between Ivanovic and the CB as well, with Santi spraying passes - then he won't know where to look...
I don't know why people talk about playing oxo and being defensive, he is naive defensively and gives the ball away too often. I suppose he plays more like a traditional winger than theo who plays as more of a striker when out wide, but other than that I don't see what oxo offers defensively over any other player out wide. Ramsey on the right though gives us more defensive stability because he can help crowd the midfield, he makes a lot of interceptions and tackles and covers a lot of ground.
Theo tends to stay forward and make runs inside which can leave his full back exposed occasionally. Oxo works really hard, tracks back, tackles and harries well and keeps the full back honest with his pace, knowing he can blast past the fb if the cb comes to far forward. He also doesn't tend to drift infield as much as Ramsey or theo. I agree though he has a habit of losing the ball in dangerous positions
Also does not help that we have to travel to Croatia on Wednesday, and then have to play Chelsea in a lunchtime kick off on a Saturday. ****ing TV.
Fair enough. Only time I wanted ManU to win was against the Goons in early 2000s. Jose never loses to Goons, same Jose would have taken more than 4 pts from 5 games. But that Jose is missing.
Huge game for us and the way we play and the following result will tell us how far this team has progressed. We are on better form and are doing better in the league than them, so i expect more from us than in previous encounters. A draw would be a decent result but a win shouldn't be off the cards. We need to capitalise when others are struggling, especially when we have an opportunity to put space between a strong Maureen team.
This is big game. I would make a few changes for this one if I were Wenger. I would play Alexis, Walcott and Ox. Santi, Coq and Rambo. I would leave Ozil out. Same back 4.
Mourinho is such a twat. Y'all see this? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/jose-mourinho-roberto-martinez-feud-6436827
Then, after Mourinho went into the press conference with a final burst of "f****** hell", Martinez mocked: “When he beat us 6-3 (last season) he was such a nice man, I prefer him like that!” Classy response from Martinez. Whats with these top managers nowadays, they all seem to lack any class. They win everything under the sun and when they lose, they throw their toys out the pram. Poor.
