Firmino was poor but he does show glimpses. But at the end of the day, he's being played out of position. No doubt that Lallana comes back and replaced him though.

German football is not slower than PL. And I don't think it's a question of him having to adjust - he's playing in a horrible system which is designed to fail.

Everyone knows my thoughts on Benteke but I'm not gonna criticise him for his poor performance because it's not his fault he's being isolated.

That doesn't happen at Liverpool though, so he's gonna have to hurry up and learn a new position <laugh>

    Lol that is true.

I've criticised Skrtel and Lovren for so long but it's at the point where it's not their fault that they're ****. Rodgers continually keeps choosing them.

And it's now at the point where it's not Rodgers fault that he's ****. The owners have to take responsibility.

You're the only one discussing the player as a whole. Everyone else was talking about whether he deserved a new contract. Based on him being our most improved player last season and being pivotal in us reaching top 4 as well as having a brilliant attitude, most sensible United fans said he did. But oh no, UIR wants to "discuss the player as a whole". But ofcourse he's no Di Maria so you won't want to defend him. How's that going with Di Maria btw? Or shall I ask some of the Pool fans on here to bring up some of posts to embarrass you again? A player who disappeared after October and you continued to defend AND were happy to have remain at the club IF he had stayed. But Young, bcos he's not the next Thierry Henry just isn't big enough to deserve a second chance.

The quotes are there for everyone no matter how much you try to deny it. I'll put it in bold just to highlight your insanity "He scored 8 in 12 so I can see why people compare him to Thierry Henry" Based on him being French and scoring 8 in 12 having NEVER watched him play <laugh>

I haven't moaned any more than you about our performance yesterday. It was dull football in the first half and then we upped our pace when Young came on in the second. I've even had a reasonable debate (agreed and disagreed) with a few Pool fans on here about where we could improve. You're the one who came on here to pick a fight, you fantasist. You can't handle reality mate. If you let a chink of light in, your whole world will come crashing down around you I fear. Let me explain something to you about Van Gaal that you fail to grasp. And I'll do it in a way I hope you can fathom (although I doubt you will but everyone else will...so here goes nothing) You and I are passengers in a BMW M5 travelling down the motorway (to London lets say) with LVG driving at 30mph. I'm scratching my head and trying to explain to you it's a 70mph speed limit and the car is capable of going faster. In fact to drive the car that slowly is a waste of the car's true potential. You're saying "Stop moaning, we're heading in the right direction and we'll get to London." In short... you're an idiot and LVG although capable of driving, is the footballing equivalent of Driving Miss Daisy.

As for my thread. it's there for everyone to see. No egg on anyone's face but yours... over and over and over again. How's the Ramos transfer going btw? You're ITK remember.

No because driving a car on the road is using the right tools in right place... Rodgers is more like using an expensive bicycle on a motorway, nice equipment but used in the complete wrong way <ok>

Are you on drugs. Genuine question. You are not all there Treble.

When discussing a player it a total cop out to dismiss everything that went before. It makes ones argument pointless. Pretending the something didn't happen is just as bad as pretending something did happen. Young had a great first season. He subsequently went on to have a number of very poor seasons followed by a slight revival. Some may say he's the most improved player but then some say its Smalling.

As for Di Maria. His quality is not in question. His attitude very much is. No United fan could see how far he would fall. I often spoke about his ability to create something. Something we were lacking last season and at times in this too. Its a pretty important part of football. As a self proclaimed purist (dear lord) you should be aware of this.

As for you analogy. Wow. Let me help you out with a more realistic viewpoint.

Lvg's m5 was an insurance write off. The previous owner ragged it around and completely trashed it. It required huge amounts of work just to get it running. I, like many United fans (I keep encouraging you to open your eyes, basing you views on whether or not Stan or a Liverpool fan likes your posts, isn't the best idea) can see its a work in progress. You however, you cannot understand how its not racing down the motorway.

Again, you keep posting a quote which in no way says I think Martial is Henry. You're not thick but you do a damn good impression of a ****** at times.

Ramos signed a new deal. Surprising considering Reals inability to complete a deal. Not sure how I was ITK about that but Stan once made a funny post about it and you've latched on to it. Well done but remember how I told you to pay a little more attention. This is one of those times. There were more than myself who would see why we would go after someone like Ramos. If he becomes available or there is encouragement, then you at least look into the possibility.

Do keep on making stuff up, posting quotes that don't support your argument and ripping off Stans ongoing jokes (he elaborates further by claiming the ticket office calls me with these details, just incase you want to continue).

So let me get this right... from the first 2 paragraphs of your Alice in Wonderland narrative - Young's worth should be based on his whole time at United... but Di Maria was "quality" based on.... errrm... 1 month? LMAO can't you see how bias and incredible you sound? BTW I never questioned Di Maria's quality. Simply using your defense of him to highlight your double standards :)

No mate, the parts of the BMW M5 are all there...except perhaps the carburettor that LVG and his ace mechanic Woody forgot to replace. Unless you're saying the BMW is ****? Is that what you're saying UIR? Blaming the car <laugh>

Ramos was a joke. We only went for him bcos he became available. You were waxing lyrical about how we needed a CB and he was the one. I tried to explain to you it was a pie in the sky distraction and symbolised a lack of strategic planning to find a CB. Looking into it (as you say) is one thing, but running after him at the expense of any other planning is just plain daft. Then when he signed a new contract, you decided we didn't need him or another CB. Bit like with Pedro. As I said at the time...United's approach to transfers is like a dog chasing balloons in the park. You do know that Martial signed a new contract 2 months before we signed him don't you? We could have got him for £12m around the same time as Depay. 2 years on and it's the Fellaini debacle all over again. All of that is on the thread you quoted. Enjoy :)

BTW the Young and Di Maria example typifies UIR to a tee. Moyes is Young, not a big name, not deserving of any "benefit of the doubt" or given a second chance. LVG is Di Maria. The big name and superstar who lives off his past, and fanboys and plastics like UIR say can do no wrong. To do so is blasphemy!

  19. Got to agree tbh but there isn't much in it imo. We both can only play eleven at once and we have to play the same teams too. Anything could happen.

Shame we won't learn anything for the first fifteen games by which it'll be too late.

TBH I'm starting to join the brigade wanting a change of manager. I like Brod but I just don't see him turning things around

I'm the same mate. This is the first time I've seriously considered wanting him out, now it's in my head I can't find an argument against it. He has simply gone too far, and is proving he's not up to a top job like Liverpool.

A shame but that's now the reality.
