Lets not kid ourselves. Was decent for the opening games. Had a terrible time v West Ham. Moreno is currently better.

Playing a right footed 18 year old centre back at LB at Old Trafford because he was good in Asia and didn't mess up vs Stoke...nah

I think he looks a real talent but it's too soon.

 

Gomez is playing there because he is solid and protects Lovren. Nothing else about him playing at LB helps us. He provides no width, doesn't attack down the flank because he's not comfortable doing it and can't even use his left foot so, besides the awful crossing, he'll always struggle to cope with players going wide past him.

Not attacking him; he's got great promise and will be a good player for us. However, he's being used to babysit Lovren which, unfortunately, just results in problems in the team elsewhere.
