I do agree but has a fraction of a second - literally - to make that call. We were in control second half.

Same thing at the end of the day. Presumably "We" put it in his contract and signed it.

    thats rubbish for a start.
Green has made some great saves in games and kept the score down but seems to make too many big clangers.
Like today, like Chelsea last season.
Lets see at the end of the season if we need those 3 points because he wasted 3 points today.

McCarthy is a top keeper and some idiots at the club let him go. All he wanted was to play but typical QPR would rather stick with the old big earners. I even read on here posters saying he was crap (seriously some people should watch tennis because the know FA about football).
McCarthy would have been QPR number No1 for years and the club made a big mistake letting him go.
As for Green he needs to keep his head down.

Games I saw McCarthy play for us last year he was certainly no better than Green. He's been good for Palace this season though, just watching him on MOTD. Perhaps we should have played him more, perhaps he was another victim of the 'come to QPR, turn to crap' syndrome. Even Jason Puncheon looks good for Palace. Mbia and Granero seem to play a lot now. Just waiting for Jordan Mutch to turn good......

too many of our fans judged him on 3 games and a cup game. He needed to be the No1 and given time. He was class at Reading and doing well at Palace. He will be playing for England in the future and sadly once again we look at the short term quick fix.

Rubbish it was lose, lose for him. If he let the dude waltz past him and score he would have been absolutely slaughtered on here. It was a howler but Onouha has to shoulder some blame as well.

How so Frome? He was put under no pressure by Onouha. He had plenty of time and any normal Keeper would've cleared it without fuss.

Unless you mean Onouha should've known his Keeper has all the foot control of Bamby on Ice and should never pass back to him under any circumstances. If that's the case then there can be no argument for keeping such a Goalkeeper in the side mate

If Green had cleared that, as he should do for £50,000 a week then Onouha doesn't even come into the equation. No one would even be mentioning the Onouha back pass. Green ****ed up. As simple as, ..

That's very true. There was at least one far more dangerous back pass 1st half that Green cleared competently, that I've not seen that mentioned.

Why should it be mentioned? That's what he's paid to do. He's a footballer not a 20 stone Trucker. Are we now going to give out medals when Green actually manages to kick a ball straight up the field?

Point was there was nothing wrong with Ned's back pass! There were far worse back passes than his one that Green screwed up.

Spot on, he pulls off some great saves but for me he has no presence when under any sort of pressure. Remember the flap under the crossbar?! That's the problem for me, the number of big errors that have really cost us.
We have to accept McCarthy had a release clause but we messed up by not playing him and making our number one. Don't blame him for going as didn't appear valued.

McCarthy dident cover himself in glory for city's goal yesterday. Should have held on to a weak shot and put it on a plate for City.

Joining a newly promoted side and seeing himself as a Premier League goalkeeper, quite rightly, it makes sense that he'd have insisted on that clause to join us in the first place.

Chelsea was hardly a big clanger. How much time passed between his kick and the ball going in? Plenty, enough for the defence to have sorted itself out. People are saying he's error prone and pointing to things he did three years ago as an example of that.

No one let McCarthy go. He wanted to go and no one could stop him from doing so. If he's number one at a top half Premier League club, would it have made a difference if he was playing for us or not?

Agree on both Swords but McCarthy was one for the future and Green isn't. Really think we have shot ourselves in the foot again.
Funnily Smithies was rated at Huddersfield and he looked like a rabbit in headlights yesterday. I guess like McCarthy it's about game time

Of course green should have cleared it but it was still a clumsy back pass so Onouha most definitely comes into the equation for me.
