Struggling to find a worse centre back pairing in the league than Skrtel and Lovren. Skrtel again was the worst defender on the pitch.

Also the experiment of Gomez as LB was nice in theory but it just doesn't work.

We had the opportunity to play the diamond but Rodgers favoured the 433, with players out of position. This man keeps making the same mistakes over and over again which is why I want him out.

Which United posters agree with your Astro like loyalty to LVG and Woody and 100% belief that everything they and United do is correct.

By the way, I thought Young coming on changed the game for United. Much under rated player is Young.

To be fair you claimed to be ITK and close to the club because the ticket office called and asked whether you wanted a season ticket. So you're a Man United member. Cool.

Really trying to find an positives from the game today.

Benteke's goal was a worldie. Whilst Can was poor overall, you can see the lad trying to drive the team and hes a future a captain.

Man UTD were the deserved winners in that match yesterday. I thought Milner had a bad game, he was largely anonymous. With the way we set up yesterday I would have thought Origi would have suited wide better than Ings. To be fair to Ings he had a decent game considering what he was being asked to do. I have been supportive of Rodgers but I am struggling to see any improvement, we have digressed from the season we finished second. I just don't understand why Rodgers has decided to blunt our best weapon even further (loosing Suarez) by setting us up to hang back to just hope we don't concede, leaving one player up top and I team of players who have no idea how to transition from defending to attacking on the break. It really is depressing to watch, to use a cliche phrase, square pegs in round holes.

The blame isn't just with rogers, there is something not right with the structure, how often do we hear or see the owners these days? What's really going on with the transfer committee? What were changes in the coaching staff meant to offer us on the pitch? There are lots of questions that need to be answered internally. Each department needs to start asking themselves honest questions in order for to improve. These questions are not just for the manager to answer.

Everton were very good yesterday. I think they'll finish above Liverpool.

if both clubs still have the same manager yes, not so sure if we get rid of brendan that will be the case though, we have good players just a clueless manager.

The big difference between us and the likes of you feller is that we support our club no matter how bad(or occasionally) good we are, its called loyalty.<ok>

You jumped on the Utd bandwagon in the Fergie years and have known nothing but success during that time, which is fair enough btw but a lot of the posters on our board have supported LFC despite the lack of success, that's the difference between us and plazzy mancs like you horses head.

Ask a few of the posters on the Utd board what it was like supporting them after Busby and before Fergie and you'll find the same kind of loyalty as you'll find here.

The positives - from what I heard on the radio - that I take from yesterday is Benteke's goal. Cracker when I was forced to watch MOTD! <ok>

    That's about it, really. :(

PS: apparently Balotelli scored for Milan.

We'll see. United fans said that for the last two seasons, then joined the Tobes chorus afterwards to say that it was some sort of moral victory even though they didn't because their net spend was lower than ours.

My take on the internal workings is this and I may be totally wrong:

FSG chose (at whose instigation? ) to put the blame for our poor performance last season on the coaches and to absolve Rodgers of any blame. They kept him and hired new coaches.

There may well be a transfer committee but it defies belief that Rodgers as manager is not consulted when a new buy is being proposed. Why would a committee buy a player that will not fit in the manager's plans? So Rodgers had a say in the recruitment and cannot wash his hands off the failures.

I think we can question the structures as much as we want and we could indeed improve them. But for me the fundamental problem is Rodgers. He is who he is. He is simply not making full use of the resources at his disposal. He is no tactician either as it seems any good manager tends to get one over him. His mental block over van Gaal or Mourinho is an example. Before a match against them you just couldn't see him winning. We all have to accept what we have in Rodgers is simply an average manager. No one can convince me that he is a better manager than Martinez or pardew or Hughes or Pulis. There are better managers than him available right now.

We have reached the end of the road with him. Why prolong the agony? Why have a drifting period? We need a new beginning, and new hope.

Despite how much utd dominated us yesterday, I don't get the praise for Martials goal. He bundled it through a sh!t skrtel and put it past one of the crappest keepers in the league

I'll keep saying it untill they're finally gone. Skrtel and Lovren are terrible.

I would probably say Lovren is my worst player ever to put on the shirt, and i've watched some **** players in my 22 years. Anyone remember where the ball was in the air outside the box between himself and Fellani, Lovren had the advantage over him but let it bounce only to get out muscled and give away an embarrassing free kick. The guy is clueless as a defender and will not get better.

Skrtel gave the weakest tackle in Premier League history to stop Martial and made him look like a world beater, and that is embarrassing. Great finish from the guy though but he should not of even got that far.

This pairing is probably the worst combined we've ever had, they are clueless and if we continue with them then we will get no where.

Benteke, apart from his great finish just look isolated and out of luck, i would of rathered we kept Carrol/Balotelli/Lambert/any tall bloke we had in our squad instead of wasting 32 million on a guy we refuse to support him with.

Ings played well but got taken off instead of given ago upfront, ridiculous.

Firmino looked better but we just play like a team with no imagination or creativity.

My first time saying this, but i want Rodgers out.

Not yet. No improvement by Christmas and the Jan window, then maybe. Probably. But who wants to come in now and be stuck with that bag of crap until January?

Rodgers himself talked the talk probably, and as we can see he's so far failed to deliver. If FSG have any idea what they're doing they'll kick him into touch before it gets too embarrassing.
