been for a few drinks in Amsterdam soul club saturday night had a good night, while waiting for the taxi in the que i was accosted by 5 failed asylum seekers, trying to pressure me to give them money, [ dont ask me how i knew who they were, you can smell them from 10 feet away, and the dress ] Netherland has a policy through human rights council, that failed economic migrants can't get sent home if the hide thier passports and wont reveal where they came from, As i wouldn't give freely the biggest of them came over and tried to grab my wallet, i resisted and placed him in a gooseneck hold , his friend grabbed my partner and molested her, the red mist came down and all i can remember was being arrested, i was charged with physical assault, the taxi rank is covered by cctv as a few incidents erupted there. i was shown pics of what i had done, **** me im sorry, i did not intend to go that far, i lost all control, hope i can be forgiven, my partner was not harmed just pressurised i was not aware, lawyer says ill get off im pleading guilty, thought i had progressed from those days, im a menace to society, so ive decided to leave the board im not fit to be a mackem, Im so sorry
What the **** you on about @Amsterdam Roger ? Somebody put their hands on your bird and you're sorry for twatting them? So what if you have messed their faces, ****ing deserved it. Pleading guilty as well? Idiot, not guilty on grounds of self defence over you and your bird. Tell your solicitor to find another client
On the contrary mate, from what you say I don't think you've reacted any differently than any other normal man. Anyway, you're part of my old unit. Pull yourself together soldier & get your arse back on here. You're my ****ing marra - I'd miss yer ya daft ****.
Hell no!! Apology not accepted!!! You were outnumbered and you stood up for yourself and your lady! You didn't go looking for trouble and you're no menace to society if all you've done is defend yourself. You listen to your lawyer Roger and you take his advice! Don't go against it. Keep it together mate and let us know how you're getting on!
**** mate. Been there, losing control. Glad your lady is ok. You ok marra? Don't leave the board. Let us support you.
Going to disagree on this one mate. I've told one to **** off out of a police station before because he was hell bent on me putting my hands up to something, my new solicitor at court defended me and I got a not guilty. If there's clear footage of these attacking Roger and his Missus first, I wouldn't plead guilty in a million years. I think it's terrible advice.
Roger, don't decide on your plea yet, no need, wait on the evidence coming in. Sounds like it all recorded, no decent solicitor should be recommending a plea at this stage. Evidence first mate, you've a right to see it before a plea, protect your liberty and don't listen to the bollocks the police tell you when they say it look worse if you wait and will be used against you. It's bullshit.
In 2009, the Dutch justice ministry announced the planned closing of eight prisons in the Netherlands due to a declining crime rate which was expected to continue. In 2013, a staggering 19 prisons were scheduled to be closed. This is caused, in part, by a continued decline in crime rates. Additionally, those who are convicted are choosing electronic tagging instead of incarceration. This allows people to go back to work and continue as productive members of society. It also saves about $50,000 per year per person (about $50 million saved per year for every 1000 people). You'll be fine regardless mate
I've just had another look at what he's wrote mate. I'm not sure if the solicitor is telling him he will get off with it but Roger is going guilty regardless, or, if he means the solicitor is telling him to plead guilty and it will keep him out of the nick?
Yeah, actually. **** em Roger. You stood up for yourself and your lady. You every right to defend yourself, so you went a bit too far. That's just karma biting the thieving ****s on the arse.
I read it to mean he'd get off if he pleaded guilty. Sounds like he shouldn't need to mind. Although it sounds like he might have hurt someone judging by the guilt.
Probably just me like, but I don't understand why anybody would feel guilty regardless of how much damage you done to somebody, if by the sounds of it, you were getting mugged (grabbed his wallet) and your lady was being manhandled.
So they picked on the wrong one and got a lesson. By all means plead guilty but with massive mitigating circumstances since your partner was in fear of her life and there could have been concealed weapons. CCTV will have no sound so introduce your version opposing theirs.
If it's on camera and your lawyer is telling you to plead guilty, then the odds are stacked against you. Might be best to take this one on the chin and hope for a nice judge. Amsterdam is full of thieves, it's a shame because they spoil a lovely city.
I don't think we're disagreeing mate. I think I may have misread it. The way I read it his brief says he'll get off but Roger is saying he'll plead guilty. I agree with you mate, no way should he plead guilty for defending himself and his partner! It reads to me like he's feeling guilty about going too far and beating the **** out of them. Sounds like they deserved what they got. I'll re-read in morning when the pop's worn off but I think we're on the same page mate
I think a few people have got different versions of Rogers story Yeah, we are definitely thinking the same. Don't know why the police got involved, justice was done
