You may have had only 1 CB, but we only had 2 defenders and you still needed the refs help to get the scoring start.... let that sink in.

Your team is winning DESPITE the manager. Another manager making full use of the players will be flying. Both our managers are rubbish <ok>

Refs help for what? I don't think he got a single thing wrong today, well except Lucas should have been booked in the first half for 3 fouls. Hardly a game changer though.

Re read that and try to make sense of it.

Van Gaal brings young on. Immediately wins a freekick which leads to the first goal.

Van Gaal selects carrick and Bastian. Results in total control of the game. Liverpool look as bad as they have ever looked.

Van Gaal brings on Martial. Results in him scoring a rather good goal and killing the game off.

Even starting Fellaini was the right thing to do. Because starting Martial wouldn't have changed anything in the first. The right thing to do was to bring him on later in the game.

So sorry, how we won despite lvg is beyond me. If we deal only in what we know, and not what we imagine, or think may have happened, van Gaal played a big part in this win.

He did at all great managers do, changed it when it wasn't working.

Oh Jesus, the Utd fans actually think that they were good.

Frankly, most teams in the top 3 divisions would have put liverpool to the sword today. We were awful. Utd were average, at best.

Have to say that Bastian was superb. He's not the player he was at his peak but the way he controls midfield is a masterclass. It was almost like he was pointing at the Liverpool players to tell them where he wanted them to be!

It's that final third that is going to frustrate us all season.

Just let UIR be happy. I'm ecstatic that van gaal is their manager. As long as hes in charge then i dont think united will ever put up a proper title challenge

Behave Bisc. I agree that Utd are nothing special, but we are far, far worse and the that ref, yes the dick who gave WBA a pen two yards outside the area last season, didn't actually do anything wrong bar the odd foul on both sides. Don't sound like Bron.

We were not robbed. We got what we deserved. Nothing. But as someone has already said any good team would have beaten us today.

The depressing thing is that I can't see us beating any good team. If any manager does his homework on us, he'll get something from us.

Nobody said good. We were very good value for the win and it was not in dispute from the first whistle. At no pony were we threatened. This wasn't just down to how poor you are but due to the fact we have two of the worlds best controlling midfielders. They dictated the play, of both sides.

And another thing, we've been poor offensively this season but beyond that our defence is one of the best around and our midfield, well you just saw it make a mockery of your club, it wasn't even the best we could field (nor was yours, though Henderson and Allen wouldn't have changed a thing). With De Gea back (so much for his apparent sabotage btw) too, we are in a much better position than many give us credit for.

It's a shame City scored that lad goal today, as this win would have been even better if Palace had held on.

I think you should give that Can fellow a chance in midfield, Jimmy says he is pretty good there. Instead Brendan puts some American traffic cop there who just jogs about pointing and waving his arms.

Young went down theatrically. I can see why it was given. Wouldn't have given it myself personally.

Probably not in a position to talk right now.

One of those is your managers points total, the others are the managers in charge of today's teams.
