It was pretty warm in the SEJ stand, needed the cap. I didn't see the Behrami tackle at the time but certainly was a red card offence as shown above.
Great to have a win under our belts...good for self-belief. Looking forward to MotD...apart from that Behrami tackle. From the video clip it looked like a possible career finisher (the emoticon should have both eyes covered!)
Speaking to jerzeypie earlier, he said that the ref was awful and let a lot go by both teams in the first half, and that he thought that Williams elbowed Ighalo's neck right by one of the assistants and should have walked because of it. He thinks that Jurado must be a favourite of QSF to have played the whole match.
Xavier Gravellaine anyone? Dreadful challenge on VB and tbh Ayew got nothing of the ball and VB saw this mandatory YC challenge coming and dealt with it accordingly. Had he left his standing planted we would not see him play for six months at least.
No surprise there Andy, only sycophantic eeejits can post on your board without being hounded off. The most obnoxious posters on the whole site are members of your board. There's only you and Wubba left that I have any time for now that BrixtonR has passed on!
My point OFH was not that Vydra would have taken all the breakaway chances but that as we were playing a counter attacking game second half he would have fitted logically into todays team. The fact is that under QSF we had never played that way before and so was not given a fair chance seems somewhat ironic.
Brix is still on my friends list. It was a shock that he passed away so suddenly. The QPR board seems to jump down the throats of strangers, even if they are QPR fans. Dan posts on the QPR board quite a bit and gets away with it. I think he misses me when i'm away
Yeah well, there are actually only two posters on the entire forum I have no time for whatsoever. Must be my natural charm
Anyway - back on topic, it will be interesting to see how he changes the team next week in the light of the red card. Presumably Ben will get a run out. Should be a really good game if we continue to be positive and we must have a chance of getting something - especially if we can keep their crowd quiet. The pub is calling
I think the initial challenge was reasonably OK but then a definite stamp on the knee, so the right decision with a red. He just didn't need to do it.
A1, Charlie Nicholas thought we may have got one when Taylor blocked/eased Deeney out of the way when he realised that TD was going to be beat him to the ball and at least have an attempt on goal.
Just got back to Swansea and to cap my day – it was raining! I hadn’t been to Vicarage Road for a few years and must admit to being surprised as it’s virtually a new stadium from the one I remember, and very impressive with it. On to the game, it was a disappointing result for the Swans, but there’s no complaints from me. Watford had the better of the first half and could easily have been one or two up. As for the second half the Swans performance became shambolic, like a rudderless boat, going nowhere. Once Watford got the goal, they were in charge and the sending off made no real change as the Swans continued to fail to impress. If we were still playing now we still wouldn’t have scored. If anything, Watford could and should have had a couple of breakaways, with only Fabianski keeping the score down. So a disappointing performance and result from the Swans. An important first win for Watford. I posted yesterday evening and one of your posters mentioned how you had improved defensively – that was plain to see today and will stand you in good stead for the rest of the season.
