The Niarchos filly, Duntle, loved her and was on that day, terrible decision.

Anybody here an expert on the Irish Rules?

Could they argue that Free Eagle was cost second by the bump he got from Golden Horn?

By seven o’clock, we will have re-written the Rules across most of Europe!

How the **** can he keep the race after what we saw earlier? We need some clear rules here.

Madness. I don't think GH was certain to win

The problem is the fact that FE finished 3rd and Found 2nd otherwise the winner would have chucked out.

Not quite Dayjur’s reaction, but you might be right.

Watching the race real time, the first thing I looked for was somebody standing near the track on the other side of the rail but there was nobody there. As Dettori had his whip in his right hand, the horse hung into the whip – at least Dettori did not go out the side door!

I don't know which horse would have won but Free Eagle was almost knocked off the track compared to the brush the 2 had in the St Leger.

There is no doubt that Golden Horn gave Free Eagle a sizeable bump but I do not think that stopped Free Eagle from winning as the three year old was already on top. The only grounds I could have seen for amending the result would be if it could have been argued that it had cost Free Eagle second as he perhaps could have held off the fast-finishing Found with a clear run.

As it is the result stands. Just looking at the bare result it demonstrates what a difference the going makes. Golden Horn was beaten at York by a filly who is now rated 116 whilst the runner-up today was rated 113. Not quite as good as his performance on fast ground in the Eclipse Stakes that saw him rated 130.

He sure is...look at all those jobs he created for the wretched migrant workers in the Qatar World Cup Stadia construction.

Ron I'm not sure whether you are being tongue in cheek or did you actually watch the Leger..specifically the inside inside the two!

I'm also not sure the connections of the ultimate victor improved your humour.
