Sigourney Weaver's real name is Susan Weaver, but she changed her first name to be named after a character in the classic novel "The Great Gatsby."

The role of Marty McFly in Back to the Future was originally Eric Stoltz (the heroin dealer in Pulp Fiction) but he was fired from the role after the director thought he lacked the comedic talent for the role.

Nicholas Cage's real name is Nicholas Coppola, but he changed it to disassociate himself with his uncle Francis Ford.

The role of Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction was initally going to Paul Calderón (who ended up playing Marsellus Wallace's barman) after a poor 1st auditon from Samuel L Jackson.

Crispin Glover who played George McFly, refused to be in both Back to the Future sequels and so his character is upside down in the 2nd film and only briefly seen in the background of the 3rd with big glasses on.

Sean Connery wore a toupee in every James Bond film that he starred in, beginning with Dr. No.

Peter Ostrum, who played Charlie Bucket in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, was offered a three-movie contract after the success of the film, but turned it down. He never acted again, and is now a veterinarian for large animals in New York state.

Tupac was cast in Menace II Society but was fired after a fist-fight with the film's director, he auditioned for the part of Bubba in Forrest Gump, and won a role in the film Woo but was shot and killed five days before filming began.

I knew that one. The baldy cooted milkman from Edinburgh always was bereft of hair on his bonce.

****in, hpocritical tax evading nationalist ****stain on the mattress of life. How the **** did this prick win an Oscar for playing a baldy milkman from Edinburgh in the Untouchables. Absolute disgrace, plays the same bastardin role in every film he is in. Runs the gamut of emotions all the way from A to B.

**** off and die Connery. And keep up the sterling work that you do here in Scotland.

Oh and a wife beater as well.

The best bit in 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' is when Harrison Ford is confronted by a crazy swordsman. The original script required Ford to fight the guy and this would have taken 3 days of filming. However, Ford had dysentery at the time and didn't feel up to it. Instead, he suggested to Spielberg that he just pull out his gun and shoot the guy. Spielberg agreed and a classic movie scene was born.

The mechanical shark used in the movie Jaws was nicknamed Bruce, named after Spielberg's lawyer.

The Disney flick "Dumbo" is based on a true story and is in fact a dysopia allegory of repressed societies in the Congo in the early 20th century.

Bullshit. There were no repressed societies in early 20th century Congo. It was the latter half of the 20th century. It was also called Belgian-Congo in the early 20th century.

Glucose or powdered milk are commonly used as cocaine in movies.

In the film Easy Rider, Jack Nicholsons speech at the fire was not scripted and came about after a few joints

In The Railway Children they had to delete a scene of Jenny Agutter in the bath doing strange things with a rubber duck in case the kiddies were offended.

It is avialable to see in The Director's Cut though on DVD.
