Wait? Joking aside for a minute...Is this the one that teaches at the swanky school? You probably shouldn't post that kind of thing on here in case the wrong person reads this and figures out who you/she are.

It's ok to post your own indiscretions but probably don't want to jeopardise your daughter. Some of the rich parents are probably super conservative.

Its easy to see who the staff are, just go on the school's website and look it up, most have staff lists for each department

Plus have the age and once RHC posted his initial on here (forget what they were but if was stalkerish could look back)... So could narrow down list that way. Don't want to get daughter in trouble.

I've had an online stalker before it's not fun (that's why I have 20 email addresses today and sign up for everything with different user I'd). There are real assholes online not just forum trolls.

I'm my case it was a nutty sister in-law who knew my childhood nickname and found it on a forum and googled the nickname to find what other forums I was in at the time. Wasn't targetting me alone, she was going after the whole family.

I can't remember the last time I used a CD. Probably in my old car about 4 years ago, it was an old car and didn't have a place to hook up a thumb drive to play music.

I've got satellite radio in the new car so normally listen to that.

    Shaking that ass...

Good ta. Off work til November, hence not been on much/at all. Start a new job in November, so will have to see how much time I have for this then. How are things with you?Afraid I didn't really follow your whole woman situation a couple of weeks back - has that sorted itself now?

I lied about not using a CD in years... Just realised I got a couple from a bargain bin just last year...

... Of course I imediately ripped them to mp3s on the computer and never used the CD again... But I did buy some last year. So it hasn't been 4 years.

It may be more convenient, but the quality of compressed MP3s is inferior to CDs, which are in turn inferior to vinyl.

Vinyl is certainly not superior. It degrades and adds white noise. I've never understood why it's coming back, why people like that crackle and pop.

It has little to do with measurable standards and more to do with the subjective experience. Bogeys on your records were annoying, but if you looked after them it didn't happen too often. (CDs aren't immune to the problem either).
Any good system should have a high enough signal-to-noise ratio for noise to have little relevance (unless you have a penchant for John Cage's 4'33" :))
I'm old enough to well remember the introduction of CDs. At the time I had a pretty decent analogue hi-fi system, and in comparison to that digital music sounded cold and distinctly artificial. The sense of space around instruments was inferior, and tonal transition less smooth.
Life moves on, and like everybody else I went for the convenience of digital. Over time, you accept the sound as normal and come to think of it as "right" but that's not necessarily the case. Of course, if you listen only to contemporary pop there is little subtlety in the first place to get lost so it hardly matters.

It's the same with digital photography, when it was introduced the industry tried to make out it was better than film. Well, one day it might be, but it's nowhere near it yet. Unless you're able and willing to spend thousands on a professional system, you'll get nowhere near the quality of a middling analogue SLR and transparency film.
What you will get with digital is convenience, and that's where it wins hands down, not quality.
