    He's signed a new contract and Louis van Gaal said: ""It's logical that his head is now empty and he can concentrate and focus on the match."

    I would expect that there is a buyout clause in the contract. It will be interesting to know what the amount is.

    De Gea was supposed to be on £35k per week. He would have been crazy to sign a new deal if he could have signed a contract with Real Madrid in January and start playing for them next season unless the wages were similar to what he could get with Real Madrid.

    Yes, but wouldn't Real Madrid have paid him that, too?

    Man U will want Bale to be included in any future deal with De Gea - and I think they'll get him.

    You would think Madrid could offer at least parity for Madrid. I am unsure why he has signed the deal when he could speak to Madrid in January and sign for a free transfer next summer and no doubt get a huge signing on fee.

    Apparently his name translates to;

    David The Gayer.

    Which is unfortunate.

    Extremely unfortunate.
