Hull City boss Nigel Pearson is giving Brazilian keeper Adriano Basso the chance to grab a Championship lifeline. Basso has gone on tour with the Tigers after becoming a free agent following his exit from Bristol City - and he could win a deal. Pearson was hoping to sign Liverpoolâs Hungarian prospect Peter Gulacsi but the season-long loan deal ran into problems. I wonder if they've heard he's on trial and assumed that's meant a problem with gulacsi and not believing we need two keepers. I'd be surprised if we don't get gulacsi
I thought this was as good as a done deal. However personally I would prefer the experience of Basso behind our young defence.
I suspect the hold up was the delay at Liverpools end signing up Doni as their new number 2, thats now been resolved and Comelli has already stated that their young keepers will be sent out on loan. Also with the friendly next weekend being geared to a signing suggests this deal is done in principal and Gulacsi just needs to sign now hes back today from the Far East. Then again maybe all a smoke screen, and someone else from Liverpool is joining
Something must be up because it should have all been finalised by now, but I'm assuming its the Mirror just guessing.
It cant be finalised on the dotted line if the lad is halfway across the world on a preseason tour. I would only start getting worried if its not sorted this week.
At the latest I would of thought it will be finalized by the weekend, as we play Liverpool this saturday. Wonder if Ayala is going to sign also?
Gulasci was never going to sign until Liverpool returned from their Asia tour, so hopefully he'll sign today or tomorrow.
If it is true , then it dont surpise me. Like i have said before , why are we not buying a 'first choice' goalkeeper as apoposed to loaning one. We must be the only club in the entire football league not to have a first choice goalkeeper. Before you say 'Oxley' is not our first choice . but will have to be if we dont get one.
We're signing two keepers, one on loan, one on a permanent, either is capable of playing first team football, what on earth are you whining about?
Adam P. said that apart from some loans Nothing else woulld be done before the season starts. So it makes sense for the Ayala and Gulacsi deals to be completed this week for sure. Liverpool were in Singapore still yesterday. No panic plenty of time yet. But the deals can all be signed - sealed and players delivered on saturday. Surely ?
