I tried to order a book from bóksala studenta and my order was rejected! The book is in the shop. What is worse is Eymundsson do not recognise my address so I cannot make an order with them.
The site has eventually accepted his address, so problem solved. You should try and order something unusual out here and you enter a whole new strange world. Unless you are a registered company you cannot order from some websites. I need a couple of replacement plumbing items that the previous suppliers have stopped stocking, so having e-mailed the manufacturer I am given two different companies that will have the items. Wonderful on-line catalogues, shopping baskets, but then they will not let you buy them at the last moment. Grrr!
Morning all Off to make a will this afternoon. It's not that we're feeling particularly mortal, rather that the consequences of not making one have complicated the lives of people we know. I have told Mrs H I do not pan to stand near the edge of any cliffs this morning
Pure nostalgia or a possible going concern? It seems that the property developers who bought it want approx. £1M for it. please log in to view this image A popular Watford pub has been listed as a community asset after an application was approved by the council. Campaigners, including councillors, residents, a Watford brewery and the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), launched a bid to get the Red Lion in Vicarage Road listed as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) last month. Watford Borough Council yesterday approved the application, and said the property will remain on the register for five years or until notification of a relevant disposal. Listing the venue as an asset of community value means community groups interested in buying the pub, which closed in January 2014, will be given six months to raise the money.
The Pozzos will buy it - we'll need somewhere to house the Premier League and Champions' league trophies
Problem is that the local community do not value it and that is why it struggled last time because it was only busy for a few hours on match day. Even the little nearby Italian bakers has closed and after some wierd take away pasta shop it's now turning into the inevitable "Indian" take-away. I am afraid to say that it will be turned into flats within a few years!
Sæl öll. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar. Half and half coffee for Brian Black coffee for Bragi Flat white coffee for Yorkie Frothy for W_Y Café Allongé for OFH I have a problem. Today is frú Aks birthday. Do I buy her a present or not? The thing is in monday I spent nearly ÍSK 25 000 on her new spectacles. To me that is birthday yule and wedding anniversary all in one!
Morning all, bright and sunny with a high of 27°C expected this afternoon. Youngest daughter arrives this weekend for a stay, and it looks as if she may be bringing some English weather with her. Eldest daughters current building works finished yesterday evening late, so celebrated by going out to the Fish et Frites van and buying some very good cod and chips. Just need to finish off the heavy lifting and Mme can then potter in her new garden. Might even find time to think football later.
They do indeed and have quite a following from ex-pats and natives. The French seem to like the curry sauce that they sell as even I who cannot even stand the smell of it, find the French version so mild you do not know it is a dish.
Just back from city break in Birmingham and noticed in the nice pen museum a collection of enamelled badges a number of which were for Watford, one from the 1980's. Found it a good place to visit and folk friendly and helpful. City very keen on redevelopment with some mega building sites to negotiate.
Good morning all from a wet and warm Weston-super-Mare! Should dry out by dawn with a lot of sunshine! Have a good day and good luck to your Golden Boys!
Good morning all. My sleep was rudely interrupted at 4.00 am by heavy rain on the roof, followed by crashing and banging complete with a light show. I had many things planned for this morning which will have to be put on hold now. 4.00 pm this afternoon will not suffer from the weather unless the storms return and the internet goes AWOL.
