The fact that Ron says he likes to move on suggests that Victor did say something to upset him before the closure of the window, but does seem as if he wasn't as daft as Berahino. And Ron reiterated that he will finish his contract here...that's a <diva> but somehow also a :( As a fan I can never be satisfied with anything short of undying love.

He's such a calming influence, if he wans to leave after his final year, then I don't have a problem with that. Les has a time scale to work with & Ron will leave us in a healthy position. Can't ask for much more really.

I agree. I hope - and it seems weird to be discussing it now - we give Ronald a good send off like Feyenoord did so well.

It could very easily have gone pear-shaped if Ronald had done things differently, or if it had been someone else.

And for that, credit to Les Reed on a good appointment. Again.

Agreed; RK is a fantastic appointment; probably being daft (not for the first time) but sense he is not a glory seeker, his motivation is to get the job right his way. If we continue to grow l am not sure he would leave us soon if the were other achievable challenges in the pipeline.

Koeman will either go a bigger club (i.e. Champions League club) or Holland when his contract expires. I'm just happy he's going to honour his contract here, unlike some **** in North London.

I've always liked Mark Webber. :)

Webber's prediction: I'm going for Southampton because I've got a few mates who work down there and I just like to see them do well anyway.

Merson predicts 1-1 draw, but says: This is a big game for West Brom. I think they are going to be near the bottom this season with everything that is happening at the club. Salomon Rondon played and scored for Venezuela this week but by the time he gets back, which could be as late as Friday, he might not be sharp.
Saido Berahino looks as though he won't play so that leaves Rickie Lambert to lead the line. This is a tough game I don't see West Brom winning. If I'm being honest, I'm leaning towards Southampton after their good result last time out. But I think they could get a draw as long as they score the first goal

He seemed to go backwards and forwards with his leanings there. :)

    West Brom v Southampton
Southampton were much improved against Norwich in their last game, but that was not too difficult given how poor they were at the start of the season.
The end of the transfer window will help Saints too, now that Victor Wanyama and Saido Mane know they are staying put.
It is the same with West Brom striker Saido Berahino, who is already back in the picture despite his outburst on deadline day. Players settle down and play because no-one is in their ear every five minutes talking about a move.

Lawro gone for 1-1 draw. As said above, Webber gone for 3-1 Saints win.

Just looked at training gallery....good to see Ron back without crutches. Also nice to see Bertrand back, though he appears to have mislaid his hairbrush. :)

Clasie isn't back in training after getting his third injury. Don't know how close Bertrand is.

They're too busy experimenting in internet free lifestyles aka up their own backsides.

On the match, I have a feeling Yoshi will be used as a full back for this one.

Also I thought Ron looked totally boss when he took his chair at the start of the press conference today. Bit of swagger back after the stresses of the window.
