Gerd Muller scored 68 goals in 62 games for West Germany. He is 11th in the all time international scorers list, despite having played less games than any one else in the top 25. He also scored 365 goals in 427 league games for Bayern Munich and 66 in 74 European games for them. He was a machine. Robbie Keane needs another 3 to be tied in 10th place in the all time list. But the top 10 is stuffed with Middle Eastern and Asian players from some time ago. Pele, Puskas and Miroslav Klose are the only one you would ever have heard of. But Sandor Koscis of the great Hungarian side of the 50's is the only one to match Muller's ratio of 1.1 goals per game, with 74 from 68. Christ I've turned into Statto.
You seem to have a very strange 'Col' fixation. You mention him in your post's far too often!?! I couldn't possibly suggest that you're baiting a fellow poster could I? Do you really think he enjoys your ''rendu la pareille?'' Or maybe I've got this completely wrong and you have some kinda insider double act going on for the pleasure of the board that we're all unaware of?
You're assumption that his record would be unbeatable is flawed based on the fact he is not a No.9 out and out striker and we are playing even more internationals now. Someone will come along who'll make that position his and eventually get the record, maybe Harry Kane, who knows?...
