Would you take Ronaldo for £1.5-2 mil or turn your nose up at him since he's turned 30 now?

Past it. Who'd want him? Rooney is 29 - I bet he dreads turning 30, his career will be over!

Bayern Munich's Arjen Robben and Milan's Fernando Torres, both 32. Bet we can pick these old blokes up rather cheaply eh, mind you they are in their 30 so lets take punt on some young pup from league 2!

Although no longer our player the only injury tat keeps James Chester out is his hamstring, happens every season with him.
Has nothing to do with age at all.

For what it's worth, I'm with Sydney.
Of course players aren't 'finished' at 30.
BUT the chances of injury increase with age, or at least it takes longer to recover.
I was totally underwhelmed by the signing of Maloney from the start. 32 1/2 , gone off to US as he knows his career is coming to an end. Of course, I hope he isn't injured and I hope he rams these words down my throat.
Maybe if Bruce had looked after Ince better he wouldn't have needed to sign Maloney. Perhaps if he had taken note of the public knowledge that Snodgrass had knackered knees when he signed for us he wouldnt have needed to sign Maloney.

Personally I'd much rather have Maloney than Ince. From what I've seen of him he looks a much better fit for our current requirements, which are/were to get in a creative attacking midfielder that can make things happen, along with passing on their valuable experience to their younger team mates, and all culminating in a balanced team that look a much better bet for an immediate return to the PL.

He hasnt looked good so far. I was shocked by the commentators negative opinion of him in the couple games I have watched. One commentator actualy said that it seemed to him that he wasnt good enough for this level anymore.

I was wondering when the injuries would start. Let's hope Diame holds up.

In the game against LA Galaxy, I thought Pirlo and Villa looked NYC's only decent players.

Completely agree. Nothing against Ince but Maloney could bring far more to our game. He was outstanding in Scotland's two weekend matches against strong opposition. I like Ince but Maloney is excactly what we've been missing and looked very fit and fast. Still don't understand when/how he injured the hamstring?

    Andrea Pirlo.

    The MLS.

Without sounding too harsh on the MLS, I reckon that fella could give it a decent go there in a 1950s diving suit on a unicycle.

Back when the general standard of football was played at a vastly inferior level and at a way less intense speed.
