Peddling like crazy from my school to wait outside St Marys Girls school for when they were let out at 4pm
Family meals around the table without bloody mobile phones. Same at a meal out with friends. Good old conversation and banter.
Former Football League Secretary, Alan Hardaker attended Cunny (and Riley High). Apparently, he stated that he was not interested in international football as it involved too many wogs and dagoes. Can you imagine a current administator saying and surviving a comment like that?

There have been a number of references to kids games such as British bulldog, double ball, conkers and marbles etc. When i was young our street was alive with kids playing. In addition to the above, there was hopscotch, Hull to London, eggity budge, reallyo (spelling?), ball tag, football, cricket (complete with broken windows) and loads more. I also recall girls skipping with different chants - All in together girls, this fine weather girls .... or something like that. Do kids still play in the streets or is there too much traffic and video games?
Impressive. While watching it any smokers in your family must have used a cigarette holder like Noel Coward.
Can we cross the river Mr Wolf? Not unless you're wearing..... At this point you pick the colour most likely to make the competitive girls flash their knickers. ..or was that just me?
