Good Morning Everyone, The Leeds Utd academy have unearthed another gem. Remember the name Tom Pearce. The 17 year old forward who has been scoring goals for fun for the under 18's, was recently promoted to the under 21 development side that lost 3-1 at Millwall, with Parce scoring the consolation goal from 12 yards. Nicky Ajose has been speaking to the papers about his time at Elland Road : "I don`t feel I had anywhere near an opportunity (at Leeds)," Ajose told the Swindon Gazette & Herald. "When you`re a Championship club, it would have been very easy to stay there and just not really do anything for the rest of the two years of my contract. "There was a lot of managers since the owner took over and a lot of things going on - on and off the field - maybe I just didn`t fit. It`s one of those things, I`ve managed to get out which is the important thing. "They didn`t want me there, but it`s not just as simple as that to get out of a football club now. That`s why it took me until one minute to six on the Tuesday." Good thing he's not bitter. Gary Speed would have been 46 today. Still cannot believe he is not with us anymore. M.O.T.
Morning all. Bad day yesterday for our Scottish friends. Murray dumped out of US Open while footballers are left clinging by their sporrans to their Euro dream. I presume Murray is no longer regarded as British now that he can't win anything
Bad result against the wall ffs, but heard about young Pearce before and he is developing faster than young Robby McDaid. Pity about the jocks but they were due for a fall what with Salmond & Sturgeon banging on all the time. Not to worry though because we qualifies easily but will be on the first flight home when the tourney kicks off
... I guess with your first team languishing at the foot of league 1, playing our U21's is the new cup final for the wall fans. Congrats on the win.... and on the big relegation dogfight win for your 'first team' at the weekend. There's still hope.
Paul Hart completes the Jig saw at Elland Road. The executive, manager, training staff, and players all suggest success for the club. The only blot on the horizon is the unpredictability of Massimo. If he stops interfering and lets the team he has put together get on with it I believe we could be at the start of a very successful period. Love to all.
Afternoon all.... If this lad is starts scoring for fun in the Development squad let's start to bleed him in to the first team slowly by the end of this season. I still believe we need a fifth striker. Who knows he could be the next Smith (Minus going to Scum) Regarding the Scots. It's a shame for them if they fail to get in to the Euros and Northern Irish do.
Norn Iron were great last night, shouldn't have gone a goal down, and Dallas was enjoying himself big time.
