Started for the world champs last two games and looks good. Can't get a start under the genius of Brendan. I wonder why?

He's a very versatile player tbh....I have a feeling that used properly at club level, he'll be an asset to the club for years to come.....unfortunately, I don't believe that he'll be used properly under BR
I think he's a good player. The fact he plays for Germany says it all. But he's wasted at right back. Stick him in midfield where he can influence a game.
Can remember Carra being played as a full back and was used as a utility player for an age for England until he finally settled in a CB role under Rafa and told England to do one......Looks like Can is still similarly being used wherever he's perceived to be useful.....I'd prefer him in our Midfield right now.
I'd have him in there at the moment we need to develop him but also need a 3 man midfield so that he has cover to get forward.

I only saw some of the game against Poland, and in all honesty I thought her looked shaky at times. Not as bad as the commentators made out (they seemed to have it in for him for some reason), but not brilliant. A couple of times I noticed him caught out of position and not really busting a gut to get back.
The potential is there, but I still think we need to give it a bit longer before we start getting too excited. Strong going forward, but needs work defensively, imo.

Agree....but I suspect that BR will realise that he can't work out what to do with half the players he's bought, will leak a ton of goals and score little and revert to 3 at the back and Can will be redeployed there.....the similarities between this season and last are alarming!
