Teteh Bangura?

A young striker that we were recently linked with, he has been making a bit of a name for himself in the Swedish league.

Whilst he may not be playing in the best of leagues, at first glance his goal scoring record is very impressive (15 in 15 for AIK to be exact).

In fact, he seems to be attracting quite a lot of attention from England, with a list of clubs including Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool reportedly interested.

On top of his goal scoring record for AIK, he's netted 3 times in 2 games for his national side Sierra Leone and has consistently maintained a solid strike rate of around 1 in 1 regardless of the club he has played for.

All considered, with big clubs like Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham interested and also judging by his impressive record (in perhaps a less refined league than the Premier League), would you take a punt at Teteh Bangura? Reports suggest that his signature may require a sum equal to what we have bid for Erding, my question is... would you take a risk on this hot prospect instead of pursuing Erding?

 

Looks pretty good & he's only 21. Do they speak French in Sierra Leone because if so he's a must sign

 

A large part of Africa speaks le francais I suspect so there's a bon chance.

 

I think he will go to a top club, we found him but will be snapped up by an arsenal or chelsea, and no they speak english as thier first language

 

only in north africa were they were occupied by the frogs, lots of english speakers in the mid drift and afrikaan as you reach the bottom

 

Are they actually interested in him though? His agent was using us for easy exposure, could still be doing it with these other clubs.

I think I'd rather have Erdinc in all honesty, between these two. Teteh does look good mind, but I think if they want the same amount as Erdinc for him, is he really worth that much? I don't know. It is a risk, if it was for less, say 4 mil, then it would be a risk more worth taking...

 

Wouldnt bid much for a guy who's only scoring in the Swedish league.

 

It would be a risk at that amount. Although Erdinc isn't likely to get any better either.

Aye, I just realised 4 or 5 mil was still a lot. 4 top end, at the very most. Not too excited about Erdinc like but I think him and Ba could complement each other nicely.
Still gutted we missed out on Gameiro.

 

I really can't see any of the big clubs taking the chance on him when they're all still so busy chasing the big money guys like Neymar, Aguero, etc

 

Aye, doubt Chelsea will be after him, or Liverpool. Why Liverpool are being constantly linked to strikers I have no idea, considering they just bought two (arguably) top class strikers last January. Spurs maybe but as you say I'd be thinking they would be in for a more top class striker.

 

It's not a massively produtive league though is it, 2 good players you've referenced, and Larsson isnt exactly a world beater.

 

Worth the chance i think. After all, it's what we hope the club will be all out. In Carr we trust

 

I'd still take a shot on him but for the quality of the league I wouldnt want to be paying more than 3-4 million.

 

I'd go for him AND Erdinc like, but doubt we'd actually go in for both of them. Is everyone saying Bangura INSTEAD of Erdinc?

 

No kidding, and yet their fans keep talking about "needing one more", **** off! They just pulled arguably two of the best young striking talents, and still have Kuyt and a re-energised Maxi kickin' about. That said, with their sudden stockpile of midfielders, maybe they're looking to go the City route and be able to field two squads?

 

TBH honest i dont pay the fees so id pay 6m for him (well not that i would becuase i dont pay them
