Planning ahead for a few of away games over the coming months, but the club's site doesn't say when they go on sale, and typically the lead times aren't great - Any one discovered a newsfeed to help? Thanks
They've changed the setup on the tickets page. They have a separate tag for Away Tickets. At the moment they have the Sheffield Wednesday tickets on sale but nothing else for away games. I went online last week and booked the Sheffield Wednesday ticket at the same time as the home Stoke City ticket. The Stoke ticket turned up but no Sheffield ticket in the envelope!!! There has been a worse service since eticket (Ticketmaster?) took over the site, you can't seem to choose your seat, you get given Best Available.
It's normal for the tickets to come separately and there is a way of choosing your seat. I messed around for ages trying to book my seat for the Stoke game and eventually did it but I couldn't tell you how I did it ! I think I reserved the seat first then did something which allowed me to purchase it.
Sorry, it's not the home seating that I'm talking about as I have a season ticket and just get that seat. It's the AWAY ticket where they used to have a seating diagram as well to choose were you could sit, that helped no end as I liked getting an end of aisle seat, but now they don't give that choice, they just seem to give you 'Best Available' tag to pick with no diagram.
GS - don't know which games you had in mind or how you will be travelling but Charlton have just posted this, "The televised home game with Fulham which has been moved to Sunday, October 4th (12pm), will also see major disruption on the train lines, with no services running to Charlton on the day. Engineering work is taking place between Plumstead and Slade Green closing all lines, meaning supporters who usually travel to The Valley by train will have to make alternative arrangements."
