Oh now you're taking me back. The 29, now there was a place. The pub with the glass carpet, ****ing brilliant, seen Angelic Upstarts play there. Can you remember the Black Bull just along the road? And in town, Feno's, the Beehive, Fusion, the Derry, the Borough. God, it takes me back.
I remember them all very well mate. I was once in the black bull. Right near the back towards the leisure ctr with them windows. Bosh a ****ing load of bricks come through them. But still to me the roughest pub was upstairs in the beehive. ****ing carnage every weekend.
Aye, the Beehive was always good for a fight weather you wanted one or not. Did you ever get in the Upper Deck much?
Sometimes. Not a regular haunt though. Talking of the gluepot it reminded me of our first pub. It was called the grapes. A ****ty little dump on dundas street. Just along from what now is jacksons. We used to jump on the bus (still in uniform) after school. Gan along fulwell rd and get of at dame dorothy. All chip in with our dinner money we.d keep. Have a pint or maybe two. ****ing hell imagine that today.
Do you mean Jacksons just down from the Fort on Roker Avenue? Pass it everytime Jerry drives me home. Never been in like.
Aye mate. Used to be called alexander in them days. Clicky as ****. The grapes was just along from it. Long gone now.
Yeh mate we had a spell in there for about two years before we went to the match beer was fine and the landlord even gave me free Cuban Havana cigars
What was that nightclub called near Crowtree where you had to go upstairs to get in? Been chucked down them a couple of times, lol.
