Arsène Wenger has revealed the latest team news ahead of Saturday's game against Stoke City:
    on
    Danny Welbeck...
Yes, we got very bad news because in my mind he was almost ready to play again. He was very close but he could not tolerate the final step up in his rehab. We always wanted to try conservative rehab first under the guidance of specialists and he did get very close. We had to consult and in the end they decided to go in and see what's wrong. He will be out certainly until Christmas.

    on
    Tomas Rosicky...
It's similar [to Welbeck], it's a similar surgery.

    on
    Jack Wilshere...
He is progressing slowly. Unfortunately he will not be available for Saturday.

    on
    Per Mertesacker...
Per was out for 18 days but he's back now in training.

    on
    Laurent Koscielny...
Laurent is alright, he had a normal training session yesterday.

    on the international break…

All the players who have been away on international duty have come back in good shape. We should have the same squad available.

Can't wait for the international break to be over, it's ****ing boring.

I think Stoke will be a tricky tie, Hughes has got them playing some decent football and they won't be a push over.

If everybody is fit, then I'd go with this team

    .....................Cech.....................
    Bellerin....Mert....Kos.....Monreal
    ...........Cazorla.......Coquelin.......
    ......................Ozil....................
    Walcott..........................Sanchez
    .....................Giroud..................

Glad Charlie Adam is banned for this game, that ugly ****er can't injure any of our players now.

The team I'd go for, especially after Ramsey's average game for Wales. Though I'd still be tempted to play Oxo, but hopefully Theo's brace for England has given him confidence...

Saying that I can't see Wenger going for this team though...

I would start Ox and give Ramsey a break on the bench after his efforts for Wales

Really??? The Guardian wasn't watching the match I was watching! Ashley Williams was awesome, Bale was good, as was Richards.

Ramsey was ok, just not great - should have scored early on - missed an open goal with a presentable chance.

Oxo was pretty rubbish for England, I'd be giving Walcott the nod.

Who'd you give the nod for Giroud, seeing as how rubbish he was for France? Oh right, there's nobody....Title challengers, LOL.

He will probably get quite a bit of that from Arsenal fans too, and you know what, the fault should lie right on Wenger's feet for that, he's basically put Giroud under more pressure now, which I'm not even sure Giroud wants. For 2 years Giroud's made it obvious he wants another partner. This is a common new trait from Wenger, hurting his own players rather than helping them out.

Giving the nod for an Arsenal selection based on an England game? That's a new one. They were playing on a terrible pitch against a terrible team, you can't read anything from an international game for a club selection. Also, Wenger no longer seems interested in playing Walcott on the right anymore, he either plays as a CF or starts on the bench. The right spot has been between Oxo and Ramsey this season.

We saw how he reacted to Henry's comments. Now we have no other ST and he's getting booed by his countrymen. He already has his critics at the club. I kinda feel sorry for him. Wenger is quite annoying!

Giroud is mentally so weak. Last season, he was doing pretty well, then he had that shocker against Monaco and Henry told him a few home truths, and Giroud was utter ****e for the rest of the season and even lost his place in the cup final to Theo Walcott, and this man is now meant to be our main CF. **** me.
