£50. A one off payment, than its all free. Hundreds of porn channels as well, if you're that way inclined.
No, it doesn't have a hard drive, you just stream everything, but its all there waiting for you to stream, as long as you have a decent wi-fi signal at home, I'd recommend fibre optic to get a good signal strength.
Where is the Virgin Media call centre? I know Sky's is somewhere in Scotland, I'm always getting on to Jocks when I ring up. BT's is in India and they have no cooling off period with their products, the worst customer service in the world I think. That'd make up my mind, has to be Brits, I can barely understand Scottish mind but them Indians just make my blood boil.
Yep, every one, you can take your pick on every game that's played in Europe. Honestly its the best £50 I've ever spent. You can buy the box on Ebay, make sure you get one that is pre loaded with the channels and it automatically updates the channels.
This is the one you want, its pre loaded with everything you need. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MXQ-Quad-...m-Movies-UK-/221766861627?hash=item33a255c33b
The android boxes I've seen are crap. Nowhere near the definition for movies and live sport is near enough unwatchable.
Depends on which channel you watch, there is an app called HD Movies and as the name suggests it only shows movies in HD.. I watched Straight Outta Compton over the weekend in perfect HD.
I've had an android box for a few weeks now. it's like having a phone plugged into your tele. you can download the same apps as you would on your phone like Chrome, YouTube, Facebook, Not606 app!!. but also ShowBox (films & TV) and Kodi (films, TV, sports, etc) and you have the same freedom of setting it up to look and behave however you want - just like an android phone (did someone say Matrix wallpaper?). plug in a wireless keyboard and mouse instead of relying on the included remote and you're golden. some apps still run as touch screen compatible so you need a pointer to act as your finger instead of using the directional arrows on the remote. I currently have BBTS and vDubt25 sports installed for use thru Kodi. If anyone recommends other channels for sports it'd be appreciated - even if it's just the name - a quick google search can help even novices install new channels. I can offer assistance if people decide to get one and need help. I had a good play around with my android box cos it looked and behaved awfully out of the box. I wiped the lot and started fresh.
Modbro and Cartoon HD have 720p hd films which are fine for me, same goes for the footy but haven't watched it this season as yet. Don't use an Android box, just configure my Android Tablet, same difference really but comes with a LCD screen so you don't HAVE to plug it in to the TV.
I was just about to buy that one BK recommended until you said that, I can't even watch sports if it's not in HD! I might force one of my mates to buy one then go round and see what all the fuss is about. He's had a raw deal with BT, I'm sure I can convince him
Oh, back on topic. I was a Virgin customer when I lived in a cable area (8 years ago) and to date it's still the best connection I've ever had. Moved house and had to switch to ADSL which is rubbish whoever you get it from so fibre optic and cable are the only real options for internet. do a speed test or look for comparisons via google. I tend to define my provider on the fastest internet as I don't care for the majority of TV programs - hence streaming exactly what I want via android box. My Sky connection isn't the best but I got a good deal by threatening to quit. Films on android? I'd say ShowBox (standalone app) or Genesis (via Kodi). Both give you option of resolution so if your internet isn't **** hot (like mine ) you can reduce the resolution so you get an uninterrupted stream.
