Good post Roo except for the unnecessary last para. Purely by accident in the 1950s I came across war graves of German and British soldiers in Libya not too far from Tobruk and that started a lifetime of visiting war graves where and when I could throughout the world, but fortunately a good majority of the posters on here have never experienced deprivation that war or conflict brings and their grandparents who did are no longer around. We give our outpourings every Armistice day for those who died then get back to our comfortable lives. I watched a BBC report earlier today and a middle aged science teacher who was married to a professor of mathematics had fled their homes in April when IS was closing in together with their four sons. Germany is a country of aging population and low birth rate so in the coming years there is the real chance that the refugee family will contribute to the greater good of Germany if they remain there.

Sorry mate. My gtandmother is still alive. She was a young nurse during the war. While her husband was away fighting in Africa. There are several of us on this forum that have also witnessed war and conflict.

As somewhat of an outsider looking in i don't understand why some of you litterally let someone you seem to despise wind you up so easily. You're all just going round in circles and wasting yr time and energy lol. Just an observation of mine..
