modric wants to go so how do you view the quotes that harry etc says he is not for sale at any price? if a player is unhappy surely you must sell him.we did it with torres, and its not only you guys as arsenal seem to have the same problem.
Torres wanted to leave for over a year. Modric has wanted to leave for barely a month. He signed a six year contract 12 months ago, if he was prepared to take the huge payrise* then he should accept that he also made a commitment to the club, he is our player until an offer comes in that is advantageous for both player and club. At the moment selling our best player is not high on our priorities, hence he's not for sale. We don't need to sell every player that throws a hissy fit. Same goes for Arsenal, Fabregas owed it to Arsenal to show some loyalty and he has. However he is Arsenal's player so until a club match their valuation, he will remain an Arsenal player. *he's on roughly £70kpw, not 40 as reported
dosent matter if a player wants to leave for over a year or a month,if a player wants to leave he wants to leave,as to say fabregas owed to arsenal to show some loyalty, well there is no loyalty in football anymore, its down to money, why do you think man city have signed so many top class players? its not down to the name MAN CITY its down to the money they are being offered.
Did you really need to start a new thread for this? You could of just read the existing threads that have gone over this subject several times. Modric is a Spurs player until Levy decides otherwise or in 5 years when his contract expires.
Torres was unhappy because he couldn't recapture his previous form and wanted to go home to Spain. He chose a big bag of money instead of sunny Espana. However, he still hasn't recaptured his form and he probably still wants to go home. No matter, you got rid of a player who wasn't doing it for you and Roman ends up looking like a mug. Also Torres wasn't doing it for you before he decided he wanted go. Remind me again how the two situations are in any way similar? Did Chelsea in any way unsettle him with articles in the press? had he recently signed a new 6 year contract? While you're at it, if it's all about money, why did Gerrard stay at Historypool, when he could have been winning stuff and was in a position to name his price while doing so. Or is it only all about the money until it concerns your players and your club?
Gerrard was going to Chelsea until he was "persuaded" otherwise by some rather unhappy Liverpool fans, Chirpy. They felt that an move would be disastrous for his health!
Modric does not just want to leave Spurs. He has never said anything along those lines. What has happened, however, is that he's had a sudden revelation that he wants to go to.....Chavski. Now, why do you think that is??
Yep they demonstrated that famous Liverpool sense of humour by breaking into his gaff I think, oh and threatening his girlfriend. Choice. But very little to do with money.
I say tough luck. He signed a contract last year for 6 years and Spurs did not put a gun to his head forcing him to sign the contract so he must honor the contract.
If he's unhappy, its only at his agents failure to have a written release clause, he has two choices, play football in a professional manner, like Fabregas, or sulk and get very limited football, if any. Can't see him choosing that option with important International qualifiers coming up. You mention Torres, but what about Gerrard when the Chavs wanted him eh!?...you have a short memory!
In hindsight, responding to a 43 year old with the literacy level of a 4 year old was a bit of a waste of time.
because gerrard is a local player and he is loyal to liverpool.you go on about historypool,i have not mentioned about our history and i am not one of them people that will.you had gary mabbutt who showed loyalty and that is what gerrard does
Gary Mabbutt? A great servant to Spurs and a credit to professional football. He did retire in 1997 though, which hardly makes him a contemporary of Gerrard. The game was nothing like it is now with prevailance of agents and player power and the sky-high salary levels. By the way he was from Bristol, hardly a local lad, although I suppose you consider anybody South of the Watford Gap a cockney. To follow your train of thought about Gerrard, Sol Cambell's from London, so by the same token he would be loyal to Spurs....? Nope that doesn't work. You spent a lot of time explaining to us that the game is all about money as an excuse for teams like Chelsea and Liverpool relieving other teams of their top players, yet because gerrard is from the European capital of Car theft, he should not consider moving elsewhere. You are just like the rest of the blinkered Historypool mob pal and just like them you are utterly clueless as to how you are viewed by other clubs.
