I was not going to take this further until I have more information, but you keep addressing posts to me, so from this one: Do you use any club facilities that would otherwise have to be paid for? Everyone might maintain a relationship of sorts - how do you define your relationship? I take it your status is being 'official', how important is that to you? Who agreed the new board? Why are branch officials elected, but directors are not? Seems strange when you say volunteers are hard to come by. You are Branch Liaison Director - what does that involve? Who is your (OSC) point of contact within the club - do you have a requirement to submit anything to them, or are you totally autonomous?
Fez We use the Airco arena bar and have some storage. The official status is very important as is our relationship. The "new" board is an evolution of the old board, with two new directors invited to join by the other directors, who have also changed roles. Branchs can elect their own committee's. My role involves helping branches to set up and develop. It's early days yet, but I will be making contact with branches over the coming weeks. I also have other tasks to complete. We work with departments within the club, but not directly report. Our main contact is through the marketing department and fans liaison officer.
A meeting was arranged without the knowledge of the chairman or treasurer and a new chairman was appointed in their absence and without their involvement, your comments are very misleading.
Is that right? **** me, stick that knife right in from behind. Backslappers & back stabbers A song dedicated to all you HCOSC board members. "They smile in your face & all the time they wanna take your place"
And your post is more than misleading. Its a lie. The Chairman stepped down as Chair and the Treasurer stepped down as a Director at the AGM by letter. A fact that is minuted. At the AGM, attendee's were asked to step forward to become Directors. A meeting of Directors was held shortly afterwards, one was on holiday and so his input was by telephone. As a result of that meeting, attempts were made to contact the former Treasurer by email and phone to no avail. The existing Directors including the former Chairman were asked by email to attend another meeting in order to ratify the New Board and two new Directors including myself were invited to join the board. All positions and appointments were made with the agreement of the board. The former Chairman accepted the role of Company Secretary. Is there any wonder the previous board wanted nothing to do with you? It hardly sets the right tone for the future does it.
I'm glad you've clarified that Tom. So people who attend the AGm throw their cap in the ring. What if there is two or three for one position does the aGM have a vote on it?
Interesting, so the description of events I was given was a lie eh? I'll seek further clarification next time I see him. Can you point me in the direction of your minutes? Ta.
I think if there are two or three applying for one position, there would be a party, never mind a vote!
I found in the OSC website a notification of the AGM dated 29th May. It announced that the AGM would take place on 29th June but there seems to be nothing about what took place at the AGM. Done well to keep this quite for over two months. Thought you would have posted the news on here.
It's a lie; in bold, too. I look forward to how scrutiny works it's magic. At least the fence-sitters are reducing in number.
As suggested, the roles and current actions of the HCST committee members have now been added to the website... http://hullcitysupporterstrust.com/committee/
