Got to believe there can be a shared future for the people of Ireland, whatever the flag is. If children are allowed to mix uncumbered then friendships will evolve organically. As Elvis Costello said "What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding?". Very hippyish, I know,

    Truly hope they make it.

Is it Bristol? that is using their own currency at the moment
    http://mentalfloss.com/article/55414/7-cities-have-their-own-currencies
"Chris Sunderland currently directs the Bristol Pound Community Interest Company. In 2012, his group began releasing specialized notes that could only be exchanged in the greater metropolitan area. Today, over 12,000 residents have set up their very own Bristol pound bank accounts. And should the whole system collapse, Suderland claims that its users won’t lose a penny. “[Early on,] we committed ourselves to backing every paper Bristol Pound with a pound sterling, which would be locked away in a trust account so that even if we went bankrupt, people’s money would still be safe.”

Bristol is one of several other places using their own currency.

You'd think this would be news worthy..
You're right though about communities but the US has a little bit more rural areas and the like than the UK. Rural communities are just that, communities.
Same if you go to Ennis Co Clare in Ireland or the like.

Corbyn suggesting carriages on trains for women only as a way to deal with rising public transport harassment. He really is living in the past. Segregation isn't an acceptable answer to the issue <laugh>

Sounds more femtard movement than Corbyn. The men hating lesbos are much further left than Corbyn and they have a huge influence these days <laugh>

Or maybe you English lads should stop molesting chicks on trains? :bandit:

I would vote for Stella Creasy to be next PM, like her style

Shame she's only running for deputy leader

Would give her credentials a right good going over ... in the sack ... bit worrying when you start wanting to smash politicians !!

If Corbyn is elected it will be a disaster for both Labour, who will become a minor left wing party with only a few seats, and politics in this country generally as there will be no opposition to the Tories for decades.

The days of powerful unions fighting for the underpaid working man are long gone. The country's manufacturing industry has changed dramatically and what is there is more sophisticated. There is no mining industry, a smaller car industry, tiny shipbuilding industry and hardly any steel industry. We are a service industry led country and unions feature less outside the government run areas such as NHS, Civil Service, etc.

Labour need to come up with something that is different to the old left wing party, but also miles away from Blair's "Labour more Tory than the Tory party". I am sure the "New Labour party" that John Smith had in mind was not the sell out to the bankers and Murdoch's of this world that Blair gave us. I also think Smith would not have held hands with Bush and dragged us into the mess that is now the Middle East.

I won't say anymore because my head is still aching from yesterdays activities.

Tories love Jeremy Corbyn because he's going to keep them in power for many years to come. Labour is the only credible alternative to the
Conservative, but when there is in fighting in Labour party conservative are going to be happy.

A Labour Party under Kendall kow-towing to Murdoch and The Mail is no alternative at all.

We are not in the "stone age" media are the one controlling peoples minds directly or indirectly: for labour to be peoples party
again they need to move with time. You can no longer spend the money you don't have, labour should encourage people to
seek gainful employment and not living on the dole.
