You felt it was OK for people to break the law to get into any country they want to. Isn't that similar to breaking into anybodies property?

A bit of a diversion from the topic, but there was a programme on recently that argued earlier estimates were out by 1,000's of years, and people were not only here, but trading with other countries. I forget the detail, but I think it was based on evidence from skeletal remains they used to look at diet.

guy who lost his wife and kids had been living in Turkey for about 4 years, wasn't living in a refugee camp and had a job and a Turkish work permit - many of these people are not refugees, are not fleeing conflict but breaking the law to bypass legitimate immigration controls

Australia? That's the last ****ing place we should be taking our lead from. They didn't even formally recognise Aboriginals as being HUMAN until less than 40 years ago. Until 1967 they were classified as "Flora and fauna."

I've asked a few people who criticise based on irrelevant newspaper comments and they never answer. I think that shows the level of their thinking.
