We’re always "Heading for Better Times!"

On the theme of would-be and actual English monarchs (If I try to add everyone, I’m never going to post. So some of you have had a lucky escape!):

    HIAG - (edit) Arthur

    RCL - Vespasian

YV - Constantine (born in England)

    PNP - Canute

The Mighty Thor - Harald Hardraða

Boss - Edward I (Hammer of the Scots)

    Sidney Fiddler - Watt Tyler

    PowerSpurs - Henry Percy

    Lennypops - Henry V

    Citizen Kane - Henry VII

    HBIC - Henry VIII

Spurm - Lady Jane Grey (it’s the avatar!)

    NSIS - Phillip II

redwhiteandermblue - James I & VI ("the wisest fool in Christendom")

    LDL - William of Orange

    Spurf - the Young Pretender

    Vimhawk - George VI

  5. I see myself more as an "Arthur" figure, or an Alfred The Great.

And so does my post, now! Why be disagreeable?

Anyone else have a monarch they prefer?

HIAG, it was those descriptions of yourself you favored us with.

  7. That's better!

Boadacia was okay - for a woman - but Arthur united a kingdom, and went in search of the Holy Grail. I can see myself doing that.

I can see the similarities. But you must admit it’s unlikely Guinevere would sleep around on you.

    True.

With all that hot pussy knocking around the Kingdom, and me being a bit tasty with my "sword," I'd keep her on her toes, too.

Cnut the Great? I've been called something like that before.
The whole, "Stop! Stop! Stop.... ****'s sake", thing seems disturbingly on the nose sometimes though, I must admit.

I couldn’t be Canute myself, since the tide would listen to me.
