You couldn't make it up, the immigrants are only having a sit in protest at the station! Have I missed something because there I was thinking that they're in no position to make any demands! On reflection thinking back over the chain of events over the years, this is all Blair & Bush's fault.

I've always insisted Blair is a war criminal, if this had been certain other countries premier they sure would have been classed as one by the British government, now look at this mess, whether directly connected or not.
No more a war criminal than Thatcher for sinking the Belgrano or Churchill for the Gallipoli massacre of ANZACs or the murder if Canadians in the always going to fail Dieppe raids of 1942.
Lets be fair about this. Churchill made a balls-up, sure,but it wasn't just the ANZACs that got clobbered. The poms and the frogs lost a hell of a lot more men than the ANZACs. The whole thing was a ****-up from go to whoa. Everyone suffered. Dieppe? Complete disaster, no question. Belgrano? Shouldn't have been where it was.
Belgrano? In international waters steaming away from the Falklands...... If Britain didn't sit as a permanent member of the UN and hadn't vetoed it thatcher would have been hauled before a court in The Hague.
It SHOULDN'T have been where it was, right in front of a Royal navy torpedo. Bad move. Bad, bad move.
