no as i never broke into peoples houses , or threatened people etc. my crimes were ****ty draconian public order crimes e.g. being drunk in public (how the **** are you supposed to get from the pub to home without being in public ) so brain damage would be a tad harsh in fairness
There is a difference between the Police keeping law and order and normal people taking the law into their own hands. To compare the two is quite frankly stupid
bawls. when my place got burgled about 4 years ago, the police came around, did the whole brush thing on the floor etc and stated 1. "these are your footprints", whilst looking at me in a suspicious manner as if they shouldn't be in my own house. 2. they know who is doing the burglaries, but they cant do anything about them no such thing as justice as long as capital punishment remains a thing of the past
In fairness the law is there for a reason, to protect the weak and those who are incapable of protecting themselves. I understand why we need these laws, but in my own experience when someone does something hugely 'unfair' towards you, and it's in your capabilities to get adequate retribution without involving the law - you very often do.
There is a little thing called evidence. A person cannot be convicted if they cannot prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they are guilty. From the sounds of it people here would convict and execute people based on rumour and innuendo.
Crimes? So you've broken the law more than once? And who are you to judge what punishment fits what crime? You may think it's alright to cause brain damage to someone because they broke into your granny's hoose but who's to say you don't deserve the same for getting drunk and acting like an arsehole? Mind you, being Irish, a drunk and in your late 20s you're probably already a fair bit brain damaged anyway
First point it was my mother's not my granny's and i think fair ****s to whoever battered him (it wasn't me obviously or I'd be doing 5 years) Secondly I'm Early 30s and haven't had a conviction since '01 But you live up to your name and stereotype me
I knock a few years off your life and all you can do is complain Early 30s eh? How's that mid-life crisis going?
There's already a law in place regarding people breaking into your house - it's called reasonable force http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6902409.stm
i actually have a valid and reasoned response to this article, but to be quite honest ive had way too much to drink. a small point but one well worth making i feel. i will have a go tomorrow. thank you for your time,
There was a case in Stevenage: Kids were playing on the green in a housing estate. A couple of kids picking on one kid. He goes and tells his dad who comes out and has a go at the kids that were picking on his kid. Those kids go and tell their dad that the other kid's dad "touched them". Next thing, a group of men from the estate go round to the first kids house and beat his dad to death. So apparently in Vigilanteworld, if a kid doesn't like you, all he has to do is make up some **** about you and you're dead. Not ideal in my book.
