'As Geovanni contract options wasn't taken at the MLS side he has been heavily linked back with his old friend Phil Brown the new Preston North End manager'

He currently does not have a club so he might take the option of going back under phil browns thumb

i also heard that preston are also being linked with Mendy who also does not have a current club

Well they won't be bad signings i reckon i mean Mendy can play well when he wants to and geovanni should rip a couple of defences apart (not ours)

Too physcial of a league for Geo, he goes missing too much. He would only shine for moments rather than matches.

Mendy i agree could do a job, the success of his signing would depend on the level of wages.

This is the Mendy who could only be bothered to play vs Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs? He couldnt be ****ing arsed the rest of the time even though we were in the Prem and he was on Prem wages. What chance of him going to Preston (****hole) on low Champ wages (they are skint) and wanting to play vs the likes of Scunny and Brizzle?

PB will be linked with a number of (ex) city players - Ashbee, Geo, Mendy. Why not Folan and McShane!!!

I don't know how people can say the game is too physical for Geo. Look at Taarabt for QPR. All you have to do with Geo is tell him to not bother tracking back and tell him to create and score goals. Pretty sure he would be effective if used properly.

I can't see either of them ending up there, both would be too big a punt for a club at the bottom of the league.

If Brownie hasn't changed then he'll raid City for dross, the same way he busted down Bolton's door.
    Should be fun to watch!

Tbh Preston not that long ago where in financial difficulties so can we really see them going for these two? The only way i can see it is if it is on a short term deal to the end of the season, as in league one they really will not be able to afford them. Or on some form of pay as you play, which i doubt Mendy or Geo would take. They are both class acts and if they get them they will do a job.

Either way good luck to Brownie, Mendy and Geo :D

Will Brownie leave Mendy on the bench like he did more than not for us.

He was only left on the bench when he was performing badly (most of the time, granted) When he came to Hull he said to the press that he saw us as a stepping stone club. He now has no club, and is wanted by a team in the championship relegation zone. His ego competed with Brownie's.. he was never going to be capable of playing for a top club but he certainly liked to think he could.

Even more amazing is the fact that his debut was against Brazil and the full team was Coupet, Thuram, Boumsong, Desailly (Mendy, h-t), Gallas, Pires (Wiltord, h-t), Vieira, Makelele, Zidane (Kapo, 71); Trezeguet, Henry
