I have high hopes for Nunez but then I did for Grella too and he didn't turn out as good as I thought he might. Let's wait and see how he performs during the first 6-8 matches first assuming he gets a decent chance.
Well he proved he can cope with the physicality of the championship last season when whilst on loan he was often Scunthorpe's star man according to their fans so I guess its not an opinion based on blind faith, its based on peoples opinions who watched him cut the mustard week in week out.
So does that show what a great player he is and he should be in Leeds starting 11 every week or does it show how poor S****horpe are that their star player cannot make the Leeds bench?
Playing for Scunny is very different from playing for Leeds, for a start the expectations are much higher and you're playing to larger crowds who don't give you many chances. The opposition are at you all the time, as you are Leeds, the big club that nobody likes and you will get bad tackles or serious abuse going on all the time on the pitch, simply because you're wearing a Leeds shirt. I've played football at a high level and believe me the bigger the team, the more difficult it is to play well on a regular basis, especially when there are others waiting in the wings at all times to take your position, something Nunez will not have had at Scunny.
Don't allow arseholes like me to tell you what you should think or say, always express your opinion, just accept that others don't always see it your way.
Nunez has certainly shown promise, but to give him an extended contract because of a succesfull 8 game loan spell and 2 good half-friendlies against Scottish opposition would be pretty rash. Let's see how he gets on in the season proper.
The problem with you QSS is you haven't actually seen him play very often. You decide a players good if he's got an exotic name or from further a field than Europe. FIFA soccer isn't the be all and end all of football you know. Try getting out a bit more. You're fast becoming a rival to the knob that is Clivetime. finally still waiting for proof of your Diploma in football!!
aah im thinking he's worse than clivetime at the moment, hes really pissing me off lately, so unbeleivable narrow minded
i think will killer gobe he will get a run here and their and very much an impact sub... can t see him in the starting 11 but lest see.... it may have been a smart move to ease him into the English game........ fingers crossed.....
He's certainly got the potential to change games. Still not sure if he has enough experience of the English game to be starting regularly. I'd say he even has Sam to get past to play on the wing and Howson's going to take some shifting from AM.
cant see howson going anyway, for me he is our second best player behind snodgrass and i see where your coming from but if nunez continues to play well in pre-season he will find himself above sam
Howson's an established class act in this league and will probably be club captain for a few years to come, so I don't see Nunez pushing ahead of him easily. I see Nunez being an impact player like Gradel was the season before last.
you never know, nunez could push into the team, especially if we sell gradel and he has a fantastic pre-season
