Watched FTWD last night, quite impressed for episode 1 Looks like it's going to be another great series.
Saw the filum Southpaw ... was good but not 'great' Cleverly navigates some of the old sports/boxing movie cliches without falling victim to them (but also not really making them new), does have a nice freshness about it and quite an engaging plot with good characters who are written pretty well and who you can get involved with and care about. But it doesn't do justice to some of the sub-plots or handle them that well and a few of the characters (played by good actors) fall by the wayside or are underused. Great fight scenes though.
Would deffo say give it a whirl... it aint groundbreaking but it's kind of satisfying by the end. I enjoyed it, that's enough these days. Gyllenhaal does well with what he's given, not that much dialogue, more muttering and expressions, but brings a nice physicality to things
Skinny brides to fat wives was awesome. Opening scene some chubby lass in her skids saying that her husband hadn't seen her like this for 2 years as she was ashamed of her weight gain.........but she was happy to hang out her donkeys heads to the entire Nation....awesome TV
Channel 5 yesterday lid. The worst thing was I was watching the first one, thinking, yeah I probably would
Will give that a whirl Some fatties have pretty faces so if you can focus on that and the jugs and nowt else when doing the pounding it's best Wanna see Straight Outta Compton soon
I fancy going to see that, but I'll leave it until all the hoodie wearing brah's have been in the first week or so, innit.
I'd be more worried about what might be hidden beneath the popcorn blood Nah man ... I bring ma own treats fam
So I tried that skinny bints to fat bints **** ... and it was ****ing terrible. Stuck with it for 15 mins and then binned it. Plus that title is bollocks as none of them were actually skinny to begin with !! @Tobes You're right about the hypocrisy though with them parading for the cameras in their skimpys yet moaning about lack of sex life ... that first one, the blonde, as you say could have been hot once but that was long long ago ... the others were just
Watched Citizenfour, the docu about Ed Snowden ... great filum charting his revelations in real time through interviews and other raw footage as the situation unfolds
I like how it has been so far, loving the slow burn, and cannot wait to see the slow decay of civilisation. Great series so far. Frank Dillane, who plays Nick, is a great little actor. In real life his father is Stephen Dillane, who plays Stannis Baratheon on Game of Thrones.
