    I liked his comments about Swansea changing their formation, and him saying something like the players should have spotted it and changed to suit it.
    Seems it wasn't his responsibility, as manager, to tell his players to adapt, but I am sure, had they changed their shape without his say so, and the result had been worse, he would have blamed the players for changing shape.

    I think it's of note that none of the 'world class' players from the Italian, Spanish or German leagues have made their way to the premier league.

    Very few did though i would say Pedro and Schweinsteiger belong to that group.

    Hmm true. There's a debate about who is 'world class' in there. For me Schweinsteiger although a very good player is on the decline. If Bayern wanted to keep him he would have stayed. I don't know what the situation was with Pedro, if Barca deemed him surplus to requirements or not. I'm slightly surprised Chelsea didn't manage to land Pogba though.

    You're right in that Schweinsteiger has fallen off a bit. 4 years ago he was probably in the top 20 footballers in the world, hes not even close to that now. I guess Bayern just wanted to move on to someone new because they have an ability to draw a cult like devotion from a lot of their players and can hang on to just about anyone on their roster should they wish to.

    Not sure about Pedro, My guess is he just realized he was always gonna be one of the 'other' guys at Barca and wanted to go somewhere where he was more likely to be top dog.

    I think Bastian will be a bit-part player this season until his dodgy ankles give in. Morgan will be far more important to them.
