After yesterday, we need AN to be the future managerial genius we believe him to be. A lot of us have talked as if he can walk on water, but history is full of 'future Fergusons' who took a team up and then hit the brick wall of reality. AN has to learn, and learn fast, if we are going to survive this season. On that level, I'm hopeful he might really be special, although he could have done without the Grabban distraction. Personally I think we made the wrong decision even after Gayle fell through. If it's true that Bournemouth still want him, we should have got rid. I know you can argue that might have looked weak, but bringing him back into the fold will look weak, too, and dent AN's reputation as a hard man.
i do still have faith in him....but i will admit its been a bit shaken in this window. if there is problems behind the scenes linked to grabben or whatever,he needs to earn his corn and sort it out double quick. i just think we look short for this level now,as i say hope i am wrong
Obviously we could have done with strengthening the defence, as regards to AN sorting any backroom problem, just read what Rusty and Seb have both said about him, I'm sure he's the man for the job!
He's a good guy He will have good days He will have bad days He turned around a failing season and got us on the PL He will makes choices some of us don't like or understand Get behind him and give him our support had he signed blooming Messi yesterday some people would still be moaning. Whatever he did this is going to be a tough ask to stay up he will make his choices I stick with that ball kickers come and go
Interesting take Canario and you may be right. I had to laugh that Arsenal fans planned a demonstration about their lack of activity in the window and noone turned up! I guess we had better review the position in a couple of months, while I am very doubtful, keeping Grabban (like we did Hoolahoops) might work out for the best in the longer run.
