Is Brendan Rodgers going to take us forward???

And would mean he gets his hands on the transfer kitty with the first big TV deal money in it!

 

In my personal opinion - he should be getting 4th. He has a good squad with some quality players.

But of course, if he gets 4th, then he regains trust. However, this is just my own opinion - I have zero faith in him as a manager. I will support the club in hope that we will succeed but have no belief that our manager will get us there and he has shown no indication that he can or even show signs of improvement. And that's the worst part - it's the marginal improvement, no philosophy, making kneejerk wholesale changes to tactics and formations when things don't go his way.

There is no consistency in his approach or clear plan either in terms of style of play or player recruitment. And some fans may not see it but I do and it's the politics and ego when choosing players and marginalising others. Picking Lovren ahead of Sakho alone shows clearly how deluded this man is. Now either he is choosing Lovren out of spite/ego or he genuinely believes Lovren is better - either way, it's worrying that this man is in charge.

 

Hey, I'm not convinced either, not as anti as you but this was definitely the must get fourth or be seen as failure by his own timetable. I think all things are possible so he might pull it off. If he does it convincingly by the end of the season then he deserves to spend that big pot next summer. If he fails then he should be out of excuses and as you say we've a decent squad and that big pot for a new manager to spend next summer.

It's why I'm being patient this year.

If he fails and is kept on again I might sound more like you this time next year lol...

no offence but what dif does it make if we get 4th or not, he will still try and buy rubbish, so it will be a short lived experience in the cl like it was last time round.

we need someone who players want to play for as well as our great club, and sorry its not brendan.

if we somehow get 4th it will just prolong the agony for me in brendan going.

I think scraping it won't be good of enough to get his hands on another transfer window. Suppose it depends if it was a barnstorming finish by three teams and we just miss out on third and get fourth all within a point then it it he good enough because the games were good quality

If it continues with those like us United etc limping along all season playing unattractive stuff and we fall over the line to fourth ....well then no.

 

I don't think there are many fans happy with Rodgers and I don't see him lasting much longer. He will need to have us firmly in the top 4 all season if he's to keep any faith from those who still want him.

 

Brendan Rodgers is clueless especially selecting the best team at home games.

 

We don't half make some stupid deals. Send markovic on loan with little cover or a replacement. Get rid of a very promising young CB who should be getting game time in front of some of the current players.

I'm very patient with the club and the manager but those two decisions are annoying. Where is the joined up thinking?

 

I don't want to depress it any more lol,but we have sent 2 players out on loan as not needed or wanted at mo and they add up to a quality first team player we could really do with right now.

Why have we spent 26 mill on those 2 but don't need them right now? Shambles
