Our summer has been mixed. Some really good signings mixed with pointless signings, whilst leaving our biggest issues still unresolved. Which is a shame considering how Arsenal messed up in the window, and United ruined a perfectly good start to theirs.
Well we spent £32m on a striker and the team have only scored 2 goals in 4 games and created sod all. Simply buying a striker was not going to equate to scoring more goals. We have created 3 clear cut chances this season in 4 games. We averaged 3 clear cut chances per game with Suarez in the team in 13/14.
you have a real downer on benteke you cant get over this you loved when firmino came but you've not really had a go at him yet. No slack for benteke but huge slack for firmino.... this is why you catch flak of guys on here. poor benteke gets it for not scoring but then you say the dside only made 3 clear cut chances I'd hate to be playing up top with a guy stuck in fornt and one up my hole all game while my side laboured with no width and then lumped it at me. west ham played very well against us and had us pegged right off and nullified benteke... given mr bilic never played against the guy before he only needed see two videos to know what to do.
We have played 4 games this season, out of a probable 50 plus. Crazy to start getting at certain individuals because of perceived under-achievement after 4 games Lets see where we are after 15 or 20. This will give us a more informed idea
I agree, just buying someone labeled as a striker don't mean he'll cut the mustard at any given team, however remember how long it took for Peter Crouch to get his first goal for us..............4 months.
LOL that's the funny thing - I haven't actually been that critical of Benteke when you look back at it. I even said he's been isolated which isn't his fault. It's only when I took sh*t from the likes of you was when I started to rip into Benteke. The amount of Benteke c*ck sucking going on after 3 OK games - not good, not bad, but OK. And I'm not sure why you're bringing this into the discussion anyway? You were adamant that signing a striker would magically solve our problems yet I argued that it's not as simple as that - as the past 4 games have shown (so far). Now you could have put Mario in his place, Bony or pretty much any striker because THAT'S NOT THE FUNDAMENTAL ISSUE. The issue is that we either defend or attack. We cannot find a balance between the two. Largely down to an inept manager but also down to having centre backs who need to be babysat by the full backs and a physical wreck in Lucas as DM.

Name a game? I saw shawcross clearly attempt to get Mario sent off but I say no such clear plans to deal with him as a dangerous player.
