So the club gets the message that we are very pissed and frustrated at the situation, and want to see change, to start using that spending power we have. We're not asking for the world, 2-3 top signings this summer was not an extraordinary demand, but something we legitimately needed to kick on.

To be honest I was against what happened at the Stoke station last year, if it happens again this season though.....Oh well I won't be as remorseful, he's brought it on himself this year, so the more pressure on him, the better. Hopefully he will decide the pressure and not being wanted is enough to call it quits.

As I said before, will be miserable having him as manager for another 2 years.

Supporting the team does not equal blind faith in a manager taking us no where btw.

I don't have blind faith in Wenger but I would never go to a game to boo and create a toxic atmosphere

Obviously not. I do resent having to pay £55 to watch West Brom at home though <grr>

Well if you're a paying ticket holder, it's your right. I can't go to the stadium since I am not in the country, but I am still a paying ticket holder, so I have a right to vent.

We're not playing WBA until March so how have you paid £55 for a ticket when they don't go on sale until January ?

I'm not talking about this season, I only get tickets they offer me as a red member and the prices are often high

I'm not in favour of screaming vitriolic abuse at Wenger either and some reactions by certain fans are over the top, but he doesn't help himself sometimes when he keeps making silly decisions and then doesn't take advantage of opportunities when they are handed to us like in the transfer market.

The AST's message was absolutely spot on. The fans are what make the club and if they're not going to spend the money on reinforcing the squad, then at least make the ticket prices substantially cheaper. They club get enough money as it is.

At the end of the day, the manager is going to be held accountable for his actions and given some of his comments in press conferences, his long tenure at the club means that he has a say on more issues than most managers do at other clubs, particularly in regards to off-field matters.

He seems to like it that way, though. So if that's how it is going to be, then he heaps greater responsibility on himself and he will get the brunt of it when things don't go the way we want.

    He has to accept that.

Yeah I saw that statement and I totally agree. Wouldn't even have to be a massive amount but even a gesture would be a step in the right direction.

It's all very commendable of Wnger trying to compete with home grown players, but if you really want to challenge Man City and Chelsea you have to take a similar approach unfortunately.

The last few seasons have seen Arsenal fall short, but they've had some impressive results and excellent form at times.

The end of season(s) feeling seemed to be a couple of extra signings (DM + CF) would see you able to mount a realistic challenge.

But yet again Wenger doesn't oblige, not buying one outfield player just seems incredible, particularly when you have the money to spend!

With the way the other top teams have strengthened I can only see 4th place as best this season, which is a shame as you ought to be title contenders at the very least..........

Arsenal do have title ambitions but Wenger and co got it wrong in this summer transfer window. I think in part it had to do with the money part as they couldn't bare to exchange a laegey amount for a CF. But the DM issue which I squarely blame on Wenger is based on his tactical view of things. He simply doesn't see this area as important and Coqs miraculous lucky emergence confirms it. Putting all your eggs in jusy Coqs basket is just foolhardy and Arsenal will get stung big time with this oversight, as the season progresses.

My original view was that we were challengers but after an underwhelming start and no outfield reinforcements, ill change my predo to 3rd max. City to win and Chelsea to come back hard and get 2nd. Giroud won't hit more than 15 goals in the prem and Coqs won't be enough to maintain our strength for the whole season.
