Signed on a free from Man City.

    Edit.
Bristol Rovers have signed former Manchester City midfielder Adam Drury on a non-contract basis.
Drury was released by City in June, having failed to make an appearance for the Premier League side.
The 21-year-old has previously had loan spells with St Mirren and Burton Albion, as well as an unsuccessful trial with Leeds United in July.
The Pirates are currently seventh in League Two, with nine points from their opening five fixtures.

19-year old right Adam Drury benefitted from a loan spell at League Two Burton Albion at the end of last season, making 14 appearances for the Brewers on their run to the play-off semi-finals.
Adam joined City from his local Grimsby Town and signed a professional contract at the club back in 2011.
A pacey, intelligent dribbler, Drury can play either on the wing or at full-back.

Short term deal. Looks like a good replacement for Leadbitter out on the right wingback role. Hopefully will have something about him coming from Man City!

Would be good if he can fill the creative midfielder role as well.

I like the way DC does his business. Make the player prove he can fit in with the players, prove his fitness, prove he got what it takes to wear the blue and white shirt. It protects us. Some players would want more security so wouldn't risk joining on a short term deal so we could lose out on some potential targets but if they ain't up for the fight then goodbye. Prove themselves 1st and earn the right for a longer deal. I like it. None of this stupid 3 year deals being handed out.

Agree CJS. OK we will lose out occasionally, but in the long term we will collect those players who are here for the long haul, to play for the shirt, not just for the money! The contrast between JJOT and Lee Mansell springs to mind!!

James Mcnamara has said on twitter DC has 1 or 2 players in the pipeline before the window shuts at 6pm. 1 should be a striker but if that deal doesn't come off then it won't be a problem.

Hope one off them isn't Alex Henshall who has been told he can leave Ipswich unless DC thinks he can get more out of him than JW

CJS I guess the pipeline had a blockage. If Easter, Harrison ,or Taylor get injured that's going to leave us light up front, Bodin plays there occasionally but who would you recall Blisset or Lucas to make up the numbers

I have never seen lucas play does he offer something that the others don't or is he the same type of player. I know from different comments on this forum that people think highly of him but would he be able to cope with the speed of the game and few chances or is he a natural goal scoring forward albeit at a lower level who could quickly adjust to first team demands. I was rather hoping that the board would have given DC funds to try and find another Rickie Lambert, someone who maybe wasn't fulfilling his talent at his present club.
Looking at some of DC's signings he seems to be able to generally spot good players, eg James Clarke this season as well as Sinclair, Taylor, and Leadbitter last season
