Very happy me like. Some clubs have gone nuts (Watford). Teams around us, west ham for example, I would much rather Lens, Borini and Mvila over Jelavic, moses and song. Palace done quite well but other than that no reason why we cant start climbing the league. Most sensible transfer window for a while.

Agree with this. At least we`ve given ourselves a fighting chance.

Nobody`s mentioned ES yet but I suspect he might be a bit happier at money being much better used. Time will tell of course but it certainly looks that way atm.

I'm very happy. When you look at our budget I think Lee Congerton and Dick should be applauded. A shining example how the DOF set up should work.

It was touch and go for a while, media using our own panic to fan the flames which spread like wild fire.

Are we a better squad than last year? Hell yeah. Defence isn't as sorted as I'd like but we were never going to have the perfect window, teams rarely do.

Loan window opens in 8 days, we could still get a lot off the payload.

I would have liked to have saw a left back and centre half in, but we are looking much more potent in the middle and up top...Bring it on!!!

You know, Vlaar is a free agent, I dunno why but I think we may have a nibble there, when he gets fit.

I think this is very likely. The footie has been so dire and pedestrian for years, this could be a massive advantage, a team having a GO.

All in all, I'm happy with the business conducted. Conger has definitely earned his corn.

    Don't forget Nolan <laugh>

Congerton has a big job now, nine months to find a long term successor to Advocaat. A massive, no, MASSIVE task that he must get right, to give you the best chance of building year on year.

The way other clubs are going you can't afford another overhaul next summer, you have to get this right, plenty of time to identify that man.

I strongly believe Cocu is already done for next year, I really do.

A good window imo, the manager now knows what he has to work with, and on paper it does not look to bad. I am looking forward with a lot more hope than after our first couple of games. Onwards and upwards.

Was a case of the odds went crazy and looked nailed on, then it stopped, and Dick was back. I believe Dick is building a squad that Cocu will come in and manage, we are set up similar to PSV, it maintains the strong Dutch connection, it makes sense.

Cocu went from not mentioned to 1/100 on at one point, I'm sure we spoke to him and he asked for his crack at Champions League, I'm bordering on convinced of it.

I see no other reason we'd agree a one year deal, unless we had a firm plan of continuity already in place, I've said and maintained this since summer.

Don't know fella. I've not been asked to prepare one and had no plans to submit one myself. Presume we're waiting to see if Fletch leaves for the SPL midnight deadline.
