Have we not still got too many players? Who are the 25 and who are missing out on the start of the season?
I guess the names go into a National Lottery style barrel, the first 17 drawn out go through. Home grown, or under 21s (If I remember rightly) can relax and watch the draw at the training ground. Players to be drawn out by Tommy Mooney and Steve Palmer on a merry-go-round, which the remaining players not drawn are expected to sit on and travel off elsewhere - some might be dropped off in the second team area as they are totally "unwanted," it is a cruel world at the moment.
I see we have 'kept' Dyer and 'lost' Fessi and Vydra ????????? OH... yes just commodities.. in the world sponsored by SKY TV.....
Goalkeepers: Gomes Arlauskis Gilmartin Defenders: Nyom Britos Prödl Ekstrand Paredes Holebas Belkalem Cathcart Hoban (21 - not sure if he makes the cut) Aké (under21) Midfielders: Jurado Behrami Anya Abdi Capoue Guédioura Watson Dyer Forwards: Berghuis Ighalo Ibarbo Diamanti Oularé (under 21) Deeney I may well be wrong so, have a look over, but I make it 19 foreigners, so easy really, Ekstrand (injured) and one other now probably Belkalem? Also, can´t remember if Gilmartin qualifies? wiki says Irish but had youth time at Walsall. Anyways, I should do some work today but lunch now! lol
I am certain Gilmartin is "homegrown" as is Anya whom you have down as a foreigner. So far as I can tell he was in England up to the age of 21 save for a few months, clubless, at the GHA in Spain before signing for Sevilla 5months after his 21st birthday. So I make it that we have one foreigner to lose from that list with Ekstrand injured and Belkalem seemingly still out of favour there's room for one more. Badu, perhaps, as I've seen rumour he's in town....
Back to the point in question.... I would much prefer Fessi/Vydra ... seems paradoxical we still have Dyer ... but yes maybe out on a loan.....

Dyer's an interesting one - you don't often see such an out of favour player enjoying such strong public support from the captain and I cannot imagine the owners wanting to keep a trouble maker who adds nothing positive at all so maybe....... Sure, he is homegrown but it would not have been beyond the owners to bring another one in from somewhere.
On the pitch on the couple of times i saw him play he came on as a sub and did add something..... but...... surely no future with us ... I imagine a championship club would be interested in him
How do the Mexican media feeling about Layun moving on - I remember reading they weren't happy he joined us in the first place when in the Championship.
